Beautiful island very romantic not a hotspot for kids or party animals

Just got back from a week in santorini,the weather was good hardly a cloud all week but got quite windy at times.We stopped at the majestic hotel which is a BB 5 star rating,very modern and swish and very quiet. There was a mixture of nationalities mainly brits and yanks the latter being more friendly and less arrogant! The hotel staff were very helpful and rooms cleaned every day like clockwork,the night time entertainment at the hotel was non existent (quiet drink or meal for a price) and the majority went the 5 minute walk into Thira for the sunset over the caldera and nick nack shopping,beware of the resaurants facing sunset they like to charge for it, very romantic but costly. The majestic hotel has sea views both sides, one over a busy road viewing the caldera ( traffic noise until early hours)the other looking over pool area and surrounding land out to sea. Santorini is very laid back and a beautiful island to visit i'm glad we did it and if you don't like sunsets stay at kamari or perissa as it is all Thira has to offer

My wife and I visited the Enplo Hotel in Thira Santorini in June this year for 1 week. The town and the views were excellent but the hotel lacked TLC, We are not new visitors to the Greek islands and have a v good idea of what to expect, but, the owners of the Enplo seem to rely on the fantastic views rather than the cleanleness of the rooms.

The young lady who looked after the hotel was very helpful, when we asked to be moved from our allocated room due to the stensh coming from the bathroom.We thought that things would be better But although the views were better, the smells were not. Because she was such a nice person we did not say any more to her, and bought a bag full of cleaning products and did the job ourselves.
During our stay another couple asked to be relocated for the very same reasons.

Please be assured that the town and the island is spectacular, but would strongly recomend that any one who plans on visiting stays well clear of the Enplo.
Even a polite letter to Libra Holidays seemed to fall on deaf ears.
