The resort is great for those who like the quiet life. No night clubs or noisy bars. Make your own entertainment by chatting to other holiday-makers or get to know the locals who are very friendly.

resort is very quiet and laid back just right for a relaxing holiday , platainias bar very good and friendly also iguana bar and some nice restaraunts

Lovely clean resort, terrific beach, not for the young and lively as it is a small resort with just tavernas and a couple of quiet bars

Achladies is quiet but only a water taxi ride from the buzzing fabulous town (the water taxi is so much better than the packed bus every day). Be warned, Greece is very expensive now, bread nearly 3 euros, cereals 4 euros! In restaurants, if you eat the bread they put on the table it can cost you up to 3 euros (in some places they even try to charge you if you don't eat it). However we will return, but will make sure we save more!!!

What more can one say than the whole island is so warm and welcoming that we have now been back 9 or 10 times. Before coming to Skiathos we tried a different place every year but since coming to Skiathos we have found that we so love the place, the people, the food and the welcome that we feel that we are coming home each time we holiday n Skiathos. The moment we land we feel welocme and rather than catch the coach we get a taxi to the thotel and then on to the beach as quickly as we are able where we have a great welcome from our friends at Salto Watersport on Koukounaries beach. We have a waterski which is a great enjoyment and with such care and warmth of attetnion to your enjoyment that if you cannot achieve what you wsih t achive then that is diown to you and not those at Salto Watersport - thank you Panos and the guys there. The evening meals at the various establishments around the island are superb (many recommended to us by our friends at Salto Waterpsort) and again the welocm is great. At thos restaurnats/tavernas that we have been to before the welcome is like that of long lost friends and the food is superb whikst the views from some of the restaurants/tavernas is to die for. The only issue is why it has to be only for 2 weeks each year that we are able to enjoy the delights of such a lovely friendly warm island and its inhabitants. This extends to the taxi ride back to the airport where the taxi driver is even an old friend. Roll on next years break at one of the friendliest and lovliest islands in the world.

Troulos is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sun. The beach is superb, I would advise hiring you sunbed on the Troulos Bay Hotel side of the beach for 7 euros you get a good sunbed, its not a crowded here as the other side of the beach. The snack bar and hotel offer superb food at reasonable prices and thr toilets are very clean. Night life is low key in the resort. The bus to Skiathos Town is regular stops outside the apartments and is cheap at E1.80 with its lovely harbour lots of shops bars and restraunts there is something here for everyone. Book your boat trips in the harbour we found it was much cheaper. This was our 4th visit to Skiathos and hopefully we will return one day.

Skiathos is a beautiful island and although quite busy, was not overaly so. It is a small island with only one main road to the South and small dirt roads and tracks to the North. The island has over 60 beaches and there are some really beautiful quiet beaches to the North if you hire a jeep and visit them. Skiathos town is lovely with lots of great places to eat and some nice bars. The food and dtrink is not cheapthough - probably on a par with the UK. There are good shops to browse around at night and the harbour is great to walk around or to sit in a harbourside bar enjoying a cold beer and nice view. There are some nice walks and historic sites for the more adventureous.

Skiathos town is a lively resort town on a very commercialised Greek island. There are still some areas of the town remaining Greek away from the harbour areas. There is an adequate beach, Megali Ammos, close to town, and many other beaches accesible using the excursion boats from the old harbour or the bus running to most beaches on the south coast. There is wide choice of eating places at various prices, on the harbours and in the back streets. Also a wide choice of bars on Polytechniou St and round the coast road towards the end of the airport runway.

A quiet resort with about twelve restaurants and a few bars - not a late night resort. The main beach gets quite crowded but there are lots of smaller beaches within walking distance if you prefer it quieter.Lovely scenery along the coastal road or you can walk through the pine forests and nature reserve

Aghia Pareskevi is ideally located in the south of the island midway between Skiathos Town and the last Bus Stop. There are plenty of places to eat you just need to wander around and discover them. The beach at Aghia Paraskevi is a lot larger than Kolios but is a lot busier. Kolios is a nice quiet beach and there is only a 15 minute walk between them so you can have the best of both worlds. There are several Supermarkets if you need them but the ones towards Kolios are a fair bit cheaper than the larger one in Aghia Paraskevi. A lovely little village...

This is a quite resort with no main centre but tavernas scattered about which was rather nice as you had to walk along tracks and field to go between the tavernas. The beach is lovely with 3 / 4 tavenas on the beach for snacks or evening meals. The sunbeds were 8 euros for 2 x beds and a unbrella which was pretty reasonable. No music can be heard only the sound of the lapping waves. The sea and sand are perfect.

the resort is nice nice beach and plenty of places 2 eat i dint spend a lot of time in platanis at night because i hade my own transport and ate else where and also went into skiathos town a lot

The resort of Kolios is lovely and a place I would definitely stay again. There is a main road that runs through which is quite busy so can be a bit hary walking along them especially at night. There are 3 beaches within walking distance that were very nice with beach bars, parasols and sunbeds available, also appeared very safe for swimming. There are lots of tavernas along the main road to choose from - Jimmy's was excellent (Greek not British) and the guy that runs it is very pleasant and the service is excellent. The fave by far was Green Park - a beautiful restaurant, fantastic staff and wonderful food. The service was second to none, you get lots of food and it was very reasonably priced.

resort is nice beach is really clean plenty of bars and restaurants close by would recommend sunrise restaurant.

Brilliant being in the town, so much to see and do, boat trips, walks and so many tavernas to choose from. 23 flavours of ice cream in the Corner Cafe.
