The heading says it all, book early if you want to come to this excellent oasis on Skiathos island, Theo,Alexi and all the family make you feel so welcome its like going home, we could not get in this September so stayed just along the road but still managed to spend all our time at Ioannis, we will not make the same mistake again and writing this October 2nd we have already booked for May and September next year, go here if you want peace and tranquility through the day, excellent food in the evening and a great night if you want it, not to loud but great company, we want to see lots more places but Skiathos and especially the Tzoumas family keep calling us back, we cant get enough, simply Fantastic.
Great place, lots to do and plenty of places to eat and drink.

These apartments offer very good accomodation for those seeking a quiet relaxing holiday. Our 2 bed apartment was spacious and comfortable and was kept spotlessly clean by the excellent maid. The location is perfect, three minutes walk down a quiet lane off the through road, yet only 5 minutes walk to the fantastic beach. The beach is quite narrow but is not nearly as crowded as others (eg Koukenaries) (sp?). The pool is quite small but doesn't tend to get busy because of the nearby beach. You'll need a large towel to cover the plastic covered sun bed cushions which get very hot!
The resort is ideally situated, just a 10/15 minute bus ride to Skiathos town which is bustling and lively without being rowdy. Buses run every half an hour and can be crowded. At peak times we flagged down a passing taxi which took us to town for 8 euros. You'll need to go to town to use a cash point (max withdrawal 300 euros I think)
The resort itself lacks a bit of character being just a collection of tavernas and small supermarkets with no real centre but is pleasant nonetheless. Having seen other parts of the island - well the south coast along the bus route (which were all very nice) we were very happy with our choice of resort and particularly our complex.
We found prices to be on a par with England so eating out for 14 days can add up (around 50 - 60 euros for 4). Budget for air con if going in high season which is 6 euros per night per unit - cost us 156 euros but was worth it for a good nights sleep). 2 sun beds and parasol on the beach costs 8 euros. It all added up to quite an expensive holiday thanks to current exchange rate.
Ioannis Studios are just like a little haven. You come upon them after being abandoned by the rep halfway down a little lane which leads to these apartments.

Have no fear, you cannot fail to be delighted as you enter the gateway into the lovely gardens and pool area. Apartments are roomy and absolutely spotless. Big,confortable beds - bedding changed twice in a week [and towels] and whole apartment cleaned thoroughly every day. Not luxurious but confortable. We did have the worst shower in the world however, with water pressure so weak it took ages to rinse shampoo off hair.Pool area immaculate, pool quite small but adequate and very pretty and peaceful. Skiathos town is atmospheric, sophistocated but friendly and the most likable greek town I have ever visited. The restaurants are so varied - there is something to suit all tastes. We ate traditional greek every night and did not have a bad meal. We also ate in Aghia P quite often - again never a bad meal.We particularly liked Jimmys Bar - excellent Stifado. Beach Taverna on Kolios beach - lovely greek salad.
All the beaches are beautiful.
If you re in doubt of whether to go here or not, please don't. We absoultly loved it and are booking up to go next year very soon.

The apartment is situated away from the main road so is vey quiet and peaceful. When you arrive you walk through two iron gates and we were immedialtly impresssed. The grounds are very pretty with well kept gardens. There is a pool whcih at first we thought was quite small but then realised that there is only approx 16 rooms in total so the pool is ample. Behind that is the restaurant and next to it is a very lovely seating area. You must eat at the restaurant, it is known as one of the best on the island and very reasonable priced compared to food in Skiathos Town.We ate ther almost every night and the food is gorgeous. The rooms are fairly basic but cater for all your needs and are kept spotlessly clean. It is family run, mainly by two brothers called Alex and Theo - they are lovely and so helpful.
We went into Skiathos Town are few times - do not attempt to get the bus and they will cram as many people on there as they can and it is far too hot for that, the taxis are about 8euros each way, and it is about a 20 minute drive, the taxi drivers are a bit mad but harmless!
The town is very pretty and lively with lots of nice bars, restaurants, shops and clube if you want them, the local people are very friendly too.
We went to the main beach in Agia Parveski which is really nice, very clean and lots of water sports going on as well.
I could go on and on about how lovely this place is, but please try it out for your self you will not be dissapointed, say hello to Alex and Theo for us!
This is probably the friendliest most relaxing place we have ever stayed. It is all family run, only 16 appartments so really relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Ioannis is the head of the family and the best chef, they have a taverna on site that serves the most...
This is probably the friendliest most relaxing place we have ever stayed. It is all family run, only 16 appartments so really relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Ioannis is the head of the family and the best chef, they have a taverna on site that serves the most delicious food, that was the only downside, we put on about 7lbs each in 2 weeks, but what the heck!!
The bar is run by 2 of the sons, Theo and Alex who are crazy! Maria is usually around as well keeping the rest of the family under control. They make you feel really welcome and treat you as an extension of their family, nothing is too much trouble, we met a great crowd of people of all ages who are reguar visitors there and have kept in touch with most of them, so far 6 of us have booked up for the same 2 weeks again next year, I think that says it all.
