I Was a Kosmar refugee ,but I wont go into that and got a last minute deal with First Choice to Zorbas.This hillside acc;(yes the hill would be problem to people with walking difficulties)has studios and one bedroom apts.studios one to seven have a terrace with poolside view the others -the higher you go the better the outlook. Its very peaceful,when you get up in the morning the only sound is the odd crow clearing its throat!zorbas is a family business with Kostas,Vaitsa(Via) and their two sons-Kostas and Nikos.Special mention to Via who works like a trojan dawn till dusk-towels and bedlinen changed tues +thurs.Please note the bin on corridor of studs 1 to 7 is for general rubbish,toilet paper goes in bathroom bin. The studios are very well equipped--kettle,toastie maker,hair dryer ,shower +curtain with constant hot water,tv (euronews in english chanel 13) The acc: has a compact pool with pool bar which has a wide range of drinks but limited food.

Zorbas Apartments were excellent, we would defintiely stay there again.

The family are extremely friendly and welcoming. Our accommodation was located right at the very top of the complex so we had the extra hill climb and although it can be pretty hard work getting up the hill after a night out it's well worth the view the following day. Our room was modern, spacious and spotless. The room was cleaned and bins emptied every day whilst we were there and the bedding and towels were changed twice during our stay.

The kitchen was well equipped and had kettle, sandwich toaster, grill and an oven for those who want to stay in and cook! There is no shortage of places to eat in Aghia Paraskevi - Avli and Pegasus were just at the bottom of the hill and we can recommend these for good breakfasts and lunch. We took the 15 min bus journey into Skiathos Town most evenings, the bus has become very busy though since we last went to Skiathos 2 years ago, you can wait quite a while for one with standing room so most evenings we split taxis with other people waiting at the bus stop - this only worked out to 4 euros per couple so preferred to do this than stand on the hot crowded bus.

Skaithos is a lovely place, Aghia paraskevi is in the centre, so good for geting about, have stayed in Aghia Paraskevi before.
Accommodation this time was at Zorbas what a let down, very steephill to get to Zorbas then another hill to get to our rooms. at the airport a truck takes your suitcases to Zorbas then you have to walk up to it.

Our room was not cleaned once for the 7 days, we had to ask for them to take the rubbish as nobody was doing it.we have been going to greece for a few years now and this was the first time that this has ever happened. we did get clean towels once.
Reading other reports on Zorbas how clean the rooms are, Its not like that now.

Zorbas Apartments is a lovely place for a relaxing holiday. The small family run apartments are clean, modern and well worth the climb up the hill. The pool is small but more than adequate for the number of apartments. The Zorbas family are very welcoming and make you feel like old friends. The resort has lots of Tavernas to choose from but Avli was one of the best.
It is only a short bus ride to Skiathos Town and they run every 15 mins. I would recommend the apartments and Skiathos and we will return there one day soon for another relaxing, chilled out holiday.

The family run apartments were spacious, very clean, modern and relatively new with an excellant pool(just a shame the pool bar didn't sell snacks).Although the apartments are set back up quite a steep track,its worth it for the stunning view of the sea and surrounding countryside and peaceful location.Paraskevi centre is just a 5 minute walk down the hill and is quiet with just a few bars,tavernas and restaurants and a couple of supermarkets.The beach is another two minute stroll away and is course sand with a taverna at the end and a shop.We preferred to hop on a bus every day ( excellant service running every 15 minutes and very cheap) to explore the neighbouring beaches of koukounaries ( excellant crescent shaped with shallow water but gets quite busy ) Troulos (lovely beach with turquoise waters) vromolimnos (again very pretty beach) and agia Eleni ( very peacefull ) all within a 15 minute bus ride !! In an evening we visited a couple of restaurants just down the hill from the apts which were both excellant and one which joined onto a bar on the main road which again was very good.For a livelier evening we got a bus (they get very busy in the evening ) or a taxi over to skiathos town which is about 15 minutes away and is bustling with shops, bars,restaurants and a harbour.

All in all we would rate skiathos as excellant for a quiet holiday with excellant beaches and great restaurants with excellant hospitality !! We will definately come again !

This was the best holiday we had ever had, dispite having five days of rain at the beginning.

Zorbas was a lovely place to stay and the steep climb up stopped us piling on the pounds that usually happens on holiday. The family were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble, we felt like we had new friends when we left. The resort was just a nice size and in the best location for visiting the rest of the island. We tried alot of the tavernas but by far the best was the Kohili, the food was excellent and the staff were brilliant especially the lovely Vanessa who ran the bar. A few days before we left Pizza Pegasus opened and we had two meals there both were excellent and we recommend you try that for pizza or pasta.

We enjoyed it so much we are returning in September.

What a fantastic place to stay! We booked this last minute and were allocation on arrival and couldn't have wished to be placed better. It is a bit of a trek up the hill but well worth it when you get there.The accomodation is modern and spotlessly clean, the pool is big enough for the amount of appartments and the pool bar is very reasonably priced. The family that run it are really friendly and will do anything for you. The resort itself has a lovely beach and plenty of tavernas.Skiathos Town is only 10 minutes bus ride away and runs every half hour til late at night. There are lots of bars and restraunts around the harbour so something to suit all tastes.

Would recommend Skiathos to anyone.

Zorbas studios and apartments are an excellent place to go. It is true that there is a bit of a climb up a track but it is not that bad and keeps you active. The view is great, the apartments are clean and modern and the pool and pool bar are lovely and Nikos, Demitrius and Angelos (probably spelt wrong)are around to help and very welcoming.
Aghia Pareskevi beach is lovely along with kolios next door. Another great beach to visit is Big Banana beach, even if you do have to trek to it (as you do with most beaches - they are not built up.

Definitely recommend Skiathos, I think Aghia Pareskevi is the best place to go as it is in the middle so not too far into Skiathos Town and not too far to koukonaries.There are also plenty of places to eat there.
Would love to return and would definitely stay at Zorbas.

What a great holiday, Zorbas apts are in a great location,but access is via a very steep hill. But never mind the climb because its well worth it.The view is breath taking. The small complex is neat and tidy with a small pool and snack bar. The owners and their sons,Demetri and Nicko are always on hand to assist or advise the guests and nothing seems to much trouble to ensure your holiday is memorable.

The apartments are new and have all the facilities you require for self catering. The rooms also include air conditioning TV and hairdrier,all in all very well equiped. I must say these apartments do exactly what it says on the tin.

Aghia Paraskevi is a small resort and is ideal for a chilled out slow paced holiday. Eating out is easy as all the restraunts are excellent.
