Skiathos is great. Go there, enjoy the beaches—from the exclusive, to the party, to the deserted—but don’t stay at Paschalis studios.

we loved it - will go back definately. lots of tavernas - good bus routes to either side of the island. Beach in walking distance and supermarkets close as well.

A lovely well kept resort. Beaches excellent. A regular bus service, but does get very crowded at times.

Plenty of tavernas along the main road providing both excellent food and service.

the resort is nice nice beach and plenty of places 2 eat i dint spend a lot of time in platanis at night because i hade my own transport and ate else where and also went into skiathos town a lot

If you stay in this resort you are idealy situated to get to any part of the island as it is about half way between Skiathos Town and Koukinaries with a regular bus service either way although they do tend to get FULL. Getting off can be a laugh sometimes. Car and bike hire is available here to get to the more remote parts of the Island. The Island can be as lively or quiet as you want it to be. Do try to get across to Skopolos and Allonisos as these Islands are very nice but are quieter than Skiathos. Don't get conned about how beautiful La Laria is, it's like a quarry complete with dead seagulls and lots of bird poo. The water is the attraction, very clear with white rocks but not worth the effort. Kastro is worth a visit but be ready to do a bit of climbing, 'elf an safety' is not a big issue in Greece, :-) so be wary of a few bits on the track up. Skiathos is not realy for culture vultures, more of a beach island but there does seem to be something for everyone. This will be my 3rd visit to the Island and I have still not seen all there is to see. Dont go expecting high rise hotels or water parks, there aren't any thankfully.

Very quiet, but a short bus ride away is Skiathos town with plenty to do day and night.The beach is across the road about 200 metres away. A couple of gift shops ,supermarket and eateries on main street.

As much as Platanias was a small resort, there was still enough to keepy us occupied! We went to the beach every day and ate in the pretty, delicious tavernas. There were plenty of restaurants and bars to have a drink, gorgeous little place.

Very beautiful resort but it is a bit quiet. There are some shops and restaurants, but it is much better in Skiathos Town, more going on.

Very clean and friendly, youwon't go wrong here. Explore the beaches on the island though to give you some variety.

Nice area and good beaches. Just watch the main road though, bit fast and twisty with a big blind bend by the shops. Lots of nice places to eat out but highly recommend the Magic Hotel up on the headland overlooking the beach. Its worth paying that bit more to eat here as its more classy, with nicer surroundings and service.

The apartments are actually in Aghia Paraskevi. The whole island is beautiful!
