Marie's Apartments And Studio Reviews

Marie's apartments look lovely from the outside, The gardens are well maintained and the pool looks inviting. There is a pool bar and games/snack bar area. The apartments themselves are not so well maintained. The cooker was nearly unusable. There were plugs hanging off walls. Broken glass in patio door. Bedding such as pillows and blankets were stained and musty. Toilet in one of our apartments didn't flush properly. Due to the position of 3 of the front 4 apartment the noise from the pool ber was very intrusive. The music starts at approx 9am and at varying levels continues until 12:30 am at the earliest the following morning. Later and louder on Tuesday and Saturday which is party night.

Travelling on the buses is great fun and a good way to get very close to people very quickly.
The beaches varied, we loved Troulos beach were if you snorkle out with some bread in your hand you were very soon surrounded by an absolute cloud of fish everywhere you turn.
Green Park was a wonderful place to eat and the price was very good.
The boat trip we went on from Skiathos town was worth every penny. The boat was called 'The Kassandra', the trip was well planned and a wonderful day out with free breakfast, lunch, Ouzo and beautiful, wild dolphins included.
The island itself was beautiful and if we had just got the small quiet holiday apartments we had expected we would have had one of our best holidays ever. As it was it became a nightmare from the start not helped by a holiday rep who caused trouble for us with the family and barman at the apartments. Our complaint was against our holiday company they did not give us all the information we needed to correctly pick our relaxing place in the sun.
We will not be going back to those apartments again and will never use the same tour operators.
