Aretousa Studios Reviews

We've just returned from a 2week holiday at the Aretousa Studios in Skopelos and had a great time.
We had originally booked Marigoula but for reasons we did not know Kosmar switched us to the Aretousa Studios
The accomodation is lovely, cleaned every day, change of towels about every 2 days, and bed linen once a week
There are just 6 studios, some with a 3rd bed, a lovely pool, with 12 sunbeds, it really felt like we had our own private pool as none of the other guests (all English) used the pool much
It is a 25 minute walk downhill into town, but this was no problem and a 5euro taxi ride back.
Skopelos Town is lovely, winding narrow streets, with balconies overhanging.

For our 1st week the place was buzzing with Greeks and other holidaymakers, it was quiter the 2nd week.
The return journey home might be eventful, we were up at 6am, the port authorities couldn't seem to decide if the Catamaran would arrive at Skopelos Town or Agondas. Eventually a overloaded coach took us to Agondas and we had a VERY choppy journey to Glossa, it gets very hot and stuffy on the Cat and a number of passengers were ";unwell";. It's only a 45 minute crossing to Skiathos and then we had a 45 minute wait for coach to airport.
Beware, Skiathos runway is very short, planes can't take off fully laden with fuel, so we had a re-fueling stop over at Kavala and a wait there of about an hour.,

All in all a great holiday, fantastic weather (until the last day), lovely accomodation and a very beatiful island
