In a nutshell, nice quiet and relaxing resort. Ideal for couples and families alike, and would love to return in 2009.

This was our second visit to Skiathos, having previously stayed at La Luna Apts and we were not disappointed. The rooms were basic but very clean, the maid who was from Bulgaria was very nice indeed. Our children - 3 girls aged, 16, 11 and 8 - loved the po...

Troulos was quite a small resort. There were quite a few tavernas but all very spread out. My favourite has too be 'Nectar and Ambrosia'. The meal was delicious, and it was very well layed out and designed inside. It cost slightly more than the other tavernas but was fabulous, and well worth it. We even had to book it was so popular! The beach was nice with sunbed and umbrellas for 7 Euros. There were also a couple of Tavernas on the Beach which were nice! Finally, i wouldnt go to troulos without visiting the Dog sanctuary. Its a fair while up the hill, but well worth it! I was worried it was going to be sad, but the dogs are really well looked after, and healthy, and i was supprised how many are being re-homed. When i went there were many puppies (including andrex!) which we were able to hold and attempt to walk! They also need help and money and support, too afford to care for the dogs in every possible way! Troulos overall was a lovely location, quite quiet but very clean with lovely people!

I had a fabulous stay in Filia. It was typically greek and the rooms were simplistic (and clean) but thats all you need, unless you plan to spend the whole holiday indoors! The only problem was the towels were small (this seems to be the case with most ...

"Once again fantastic but end of an era!"

The cost of Skiathos is quite high now - especially as the pound is much weaker against the euro. Small supermarkets do charge more now - you are better off going to the biggest supermarket "Champion" in Skiathos town, which is much cheaper.

This is our 6th year in a row to La Luna. We love the place mainly due to the fact that Dimitris and Stavrula are such fantastic hosts. It marked the end of an era as it is indeed their last year there and our last day was very sad. However we will be keepi...

After a bad start being moved twixce by travel agents before we even got there found skiathos one of the best islands in Greece. Troulos is quiet and unspoilt and hope it stays that way. Eating out all tavernas a few minutes walk up the road but try the ammbosia for the best meal on the island!!! next to bus stop 19 the food was wonderful though it appears get there early as it is full every night. get a car or scooter and see the beaches there are so many to see. Banana & Little banana for the brave are beautiful. Skiathos town lovely by day & night. Word of warning do not get the last bus home you will be introduced to peoples elbows and feet as 70 people try to get on a 50 seatter coach there is no queing and manners go out the window.

It's basic, but that is more than made up for by the Chris and his family. The apartments are kept wonderfully clean and the food is good value for money. Walk up the hill isn't to bad, even after a few ouzos!!!
