Nostos Studios are great. The studios are a reasonable size and are so well kept. Our room was cleaned every day, the maids made the beds, emptied the bins and even washed up for us a couple of times. The sheets and towels were changed twice a week. The kitchen facility is enough to be able to make breakfast but probably not much else if that's what you wanted to do. There's a fridge, four plate electric hob, sink and pans, crockery etc.
The little bar sells a nice range of drinks and they even have a few shelves of books which you can read - a saviour for me as I read very quickly and always work through all my books.

Golden Beach is a nice resort. We were there at the busiest time and the beach was busy but not too awful. We could always get a sunlounger and the beach itself is so big that the water is never crowded. It's a lovely sandy beach which shelves gently and you can go out a long way before you can't touch the bottom.
There are watersports but not anywhere near the shore or the Golden Beach end, they're towards Skala Potamia, which is the busier and more touristy resort.(There are dodgems and street sellers!)
Thankfully Skala Potamia is a good 20 minute wander along the sand (not really advisable at night as you really can't see where you're going).

The best beach we went to was Paradise beach, further along the east coast of Thassos, about a 15 mintue drive from Golden Beach (Or 30 mins on the bus). The beach isn't as busy and has whiter sand, nicer sunbeds and the water is just gorgeous. There's a taverna down there for drinks and meals so there is a loo if you need to go.
Everyone talked about Aliki beach being the nicest, however, it's small and I didn't really appreciate having Germans sunbathing on my feet! The beach itself is quite small and stony and the considering the size there are about 4 tavernas down there. Not nice at all really.

There are some lovely restaurants around Thassos - one word of warning, don't order a fish from the fresh fish fridge unless you know how much they are first, nearly all the restaurants will try to con you into having this instead of something off the menu and they charge a lot per kilo!
Golden Beach: The Vigli restaurant is set up on the cliff top at the end of the resort and the food, wine and service are only bettered by the view.

The Fedra has the biggest and most comprehensive menu ever, their baked feta is gorgeous!
Pefki restaurant, down on the sea front as you walk along the brick-paved walk towards the campsite does fab dips with the bread and the food and atmosphere are lovely.

Thassos Town: Simi's restaurant down along the old harbour is the best on the island, friendly, great food, lovely setting too, go at sunset and drink wine or Mythos as the sun goes down.
Captains bar, right round the harbour is nice for a drink too.
Panagia: DON'T go to the big restaurant on the corner unless you want your whole meal to be over and done with in 15 minutes. Everyone says to go where the Greeks go but in this case stay away. Our food was lukewarm. My partner was brought his starter, 2 minutes later our main courses were delivered and 3 minutes after that my starter came. Not good.

Altogther, our holiday was lovely, relaxing and I would come back, although probably just for a week as there really isn't much to see or places to visit. We went on a sailing cruise one day through Thomson which involved fishing and jumping off the boat to swim. Lots of fun but we could have paid 20 Euros less if we had booked in Thassos direct with the ferry owners.

Car hire: most places are very similar in price. I heard Potos was best, but we went through Europcar and they were the same price, you get full insurance and everything was fine. Shop around there's plenty to choose from. We paid 165 Euros for 4 days (About £122) and it gets cheaper the longer you have the car for per day.
