First holiday without children so wanted something relaxing, warm and sunny but not bothered about transfer times or whether the resort had pool tables and games machines etc to keep the kids amused. Been to Greek islands Corfu and Rhodes before so thought we'd try Thassos and wern't disappointed. Although you have to travel to the island by ferry, the port is only 15 mins from the airport and the crossing only takes 35 mins. We also had time to have a drink at the harbour before boarding (you don't have to worry about your luggage as it's picked up at the airport and is at your hotel when you arrive)so it felt as if the holiday had already begun.
On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Maria the owner who really made you feel welcome and was very helpful. The room was clean and had a fridge in (handy for keeping drinks and aftersun lotion cool), decided not to pay extra for air con but wished we had as the nights were stifling and the fan we hired was not much of a relief.
The pool was small but was a bonus considering the price we paid and the beach is outside where the sunbeds and unbrellas are free to guests.

Breakfast beside the beach, served by the lovely Katarina was wonderful, the sparrows are so tame they eat out of your hand. I'd recommened the greek yoghurt and honey, delicious
Plenty of places to eat and drink, we found Kosta's, (just before the harbour next to the childrens rides) and Oyzepi Taverna,(turn right out of Agali, next to Blue Tours travel and exchange) the best with Oyzepi's offering complementary bottle of water, small bottle of ouzo and plate of appetizers before your meal.
Didn't go on any Thomson trips as we were only there for a week and just wanted to relax but top marks to Jules our rep who was at the hotel every day except on her day off, even though we didn't expect to as Just states that you don't have access to a rep only a contact number.

All in all a great holiday and would go back but would not recommend it if you have teenagers, nothing for them to do (didn't see one pool table or games machine in the whole time we were there), only downsides are the narrow beach, although if you walk away from the town it is wider and almost deserted and running the gauntlet along the front as they all want you to eat or drink at their place and I hate saying no, although as they got to know your face it did get better and you were given a friendly smile and a warm hello instead.

We booked our trip last minute and didn't really know what to expect but the resort was truly lovely. It was naturally very quiet due to the time of year but it was great for a good relaxing time. The hotel has a small pool and bar and the rooms are comfortable. The location is wonderful right across the narrow road from the sea and you have breakfast taking in the lovely view. Maria the owner is very hospitable and couldn't do more to make you welcome, this is a little gem of a place.
