Overall Hotel Rating:
Limenaria does not have a good beach, but, in our view it has the best tavernas on the island (Sue and I are 48 and 50 respectively).
The main town, Limenas or Thassos Town,is, to us, preferable in the day with lots of shops and ruins. If it not too hot make sure you climb the steps to the ampitheatre and beyond to the mediaval walls.
The best mountain villages are Anno Prinos and Theologos - in Theologos be sure to eat at Costas which is the last taverna on the right hand side going up.
Fantastic hospitality and wonderful panoramic views, and the food is superb, try the goat!
The best beach is Golden Sands and be sure to eat at Fedra.
Concerning car hire, make sure you go to Speedy Rena A Car in Limenaria, Panos and Claudette are the salt of the earth.
