Best accomodation we've ever had in Greece and we have been to 8 Greek Islands now. Couldn't fault the rooms at all,or the pool, or the pool bar, or the owners/staff there...... I could go on but I think you get the drift!

You should book this accomodation quick as about half of the people when we were there were saying they were going to book for next year. Not one for really sitting at the bar in the accomodation at night but Tasos is a real nice guy and we spent hours talking to him. Ask him for anything and you'll get a reply... ";ofcourse,why not";. This seems to be a common phrase on the island! I find the Greeks very accomodating on most of the islands but this lot ARE the friendliest.

One old guy got 4 of us on the back of an old pick up truck from Golden Beach back home one night when we couldn't get a taxi and then refused to take any money... he was actually going the other way when we drunkenly flagged him down!

Worth a visit to Thassos town one of the days/nights,preferably on the water taxi from Golden Beach. All of the restaurants we tried were lovely,the best being Megas Alexandros and the one right next door to Krambousa called Korina I think. Best place for a drink is about 50 yards down past Krambousa on your left heading towards Golden Beach. It hasn't got an English name outside. Be careful on the Ouzo in there because I got SERIOUSLY drunk on it and took a nasty fall..all my own fault I know!

Daves bar in Golden Beach is nice and cosy. Expect to pay just a little less over there for a meal and drinks than over here. Take a fishing rod or buy one out there as its great fun on the harbour. The Golden Sun reps were excellent and the ferry ride is very pleasant aswell.

All in all a great holiday if you like the quiet life,which was exactly what we were after this time. Will be back when we've done ALL of the other Greek Islands. See you there in about 2050 !!!

A last minute booking that turned out to be the best holiday we have ever had. Everything about this holiday was perfect including the weather.

This is the first year of opening for Souzana Studios, they have certainly made a lasting impression on me!

The rooms although typically Greek are very tastefully decorated and spacious you even get a shower curtain). There is a very nice pool with a bar serving drinks and snacks where we sat until the very small hours chatting with Alex (owner) and Tassos (assistant).

There are lots of restaurants to choose from so you should never be stuck for somewhere different to eat. We recommend ";Megas Alexandros"; which is also run by Alex and his brother Dimitrios.

I am sure this was not our last visit to Thassos. We will be back!
