Amaryllis Aparthotel Reviews

We have just got back from a 2 week stay at these apartments. I have to agree that there is no way these are 3*, I would give them 2* and that's being kind. If you are self catering then good luck, you will need it! We ate out all the time and it cost a fortune. There are some restaurants that do a 'kids free' meal. We went to Tossoros and stuck to this place for a most of the 2nd week. We tried others but to be honest Tossoros was half the price and the food was excellent. We were told Zante was a 'beautiful' place before we went and to be honest when we drove all around the island we are still looking for it's beauty. The brochures for this hotel show photo's that must be at least 10 years old. We thought we were right by the beach but it was a 10 minute walk away. We all came home with nasty bites which I am convinced were flea bites or bed bugs, the mossies were about but every morning we awoke with new one's and our room was 'mossy free'. The pool is very dirty and has very sharp tiles which become extremely slippy with water on them. The entertainment consisted of a quiz on a thursday and bingo on a Friday. I can't moan about either of these as we won quite a bit....lol. I wish there had been something for the kids though as the pool table only keeps them occupied for a short time. The mopeds and quad bikes are a nightmare. We saw one idiot take a tumble just minutes after trying to run down an elderly couple, needless to say we all laughed. All in all we did enjoy our break as we were in good company and made our own entertainment. Will we go again....no way.

This establishment is a joke the rooms are small unless you are lucky enough to have a two bedroomed apartment,the washing facilities are victorian there is no bath in the bathroom just a shower head,yes a shower head you have to hold it whilst you are getting showered,anyone with small children that do not like water over their heads is going have the time of their lives trying to wash them,the linen is changed twice a week on wednesdays and fridays according to the reception staff I spoke to,the tiled area around the pool is in need of retiling as they are wearing away leaving sharp objects sticking up from them one of which sliced a young childs foot whilst I was there,I was not impressed with this hotel as the holiday company told us that it was a very nice 3* hotel close to the beach not in my opinion it isnt I went for a peaceful two week break and came back more stressed out than I went, I will not be visiting their again!!!!!!!!!!

We've just got back from a one week holiday at the Amaryllis. The apartments were really nice & spacious but the shower was very basic and small. The staff were really friendly and the food at the pool bar was good. In the town, we found that the best restaurant was the Parthenon. The waiters fussed over the kids and they loved it!! The food was good too. We drove through Laganas and wouldn't recommend it if you have kids - it's aimed at the 18 - 30 market. The only downside to the Amaryllis is how close it is to the airport. The early flights really make the apartments shake!

Brilliant hotel for young familiies. Very friendly staff. High standard of cleanliness both in the rooms and also in gardens/swimming pool area. Snack bar provides good food at very reasonable prices. Mini market prices are very competitive too. Only 10 minutes walk from the beach and a few minutes walk to the main strip which has a great variety of shops and restaurants.

Excellent Holiday in a very friendly hotel. staff were excellent and welcoming. The rooms were well appointed and kept very clean with regular linen changes. Nice pool area and no hassle with beds
