What can we say? All the staff are very, very friendly, nice, helpful, polite and to be honest it was like being with friends. Nothing was too much trouble. The Apts were always clean, the rooms are nice and clean, we can't fault them. We would have no hesitation in returning there. In 6 years of holidaying abroad this was by far the best holiday. The brochure was very accurate in the description.
The rep (Michelle) was very helpful and ran a good quiz night, even if we did come second!
The resort is nice and quiet. No clubs, noise etc. For those wanting a lively night then a 6 euro taxi ride will get you there! For those who want a sedate time then there are enough restaurants within 10 minutes walking to fill your tummies. Our favourite restaurant was the ";Ambula Beach fish tavern and Grill House";. Turn left out of the apts, walk to a bar on the left corner, go down the hill to the beach hut and it's at the bottom on the right. All the food we had was lovely, even the kids enjoyed it. The views of the Aegean Sea are breathtaking and we have taken loads of photos.

These apartments are run by a very friendly family, with the aid of a few equally friendly members of staff. They are absolutely spotless, and in my opinion perfectly situated - outside Tsilivi, but close enough to it to walk or catch the bus for a euro(having said that, we only walked it once due to the high temperatures.) Another bar worth a mention is the cocktail bar opposite the bus stop, which is run by Lynne, who originates from Hull. If you`re really hungry, try her crepes, which cost between 3.6 and 4 euros. If you`re taking the kids to try one, just get one betweeen 2. It is worth hiring a car, as you can see all the island in 3 days. One place worth a visit is Keri (go to the Wave restaurant, and try the home-made iced tea (lemon.)
I can think of no finer recommendation, other than we will DEFINITELY be booking another holiday at the Maistrali

Had a fabulous 2 weeks in Tragaki - would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay.
The Maistraili Apartments are very good - extremely clean with wonderful staff. A special thanks to Jenny and Voula for making our stay so pleasurable. We had apartments overlooking the small road at the front and had great fun watching what was going on and fabulous views across the olive groves and mountains.
We hired a jeep for 2 days (and got 5 days) through Maistraili. The Thompsons Rep Michelle is really friendly - in fact everyone was! You really only need a car for about 3 days and it is worth exploring because it is a beautiful place.
Amboula beach is just brilliant - one of the best on the Island. Amboula Beach Bar was excellent value for lunch but we found the Fish Tavern Akroyiali the best value ever! Fabulous food - a special thanks to Bill and Leonardo.
All in all excellent holiday and would recommend this part of the Island,

Apartments brilliant, staff friendly especially the bloke in the supermarket across the road. My kids were fascinated with him. We hired a jeep for a week and went to alikes which has the most gorgeous beach and clear warm sea, definatley the best beach. The best restaurant we found was as you come out of the apartments, turn left and down the road past the iberostar turn left and it was on the right at the bottom of the road. it overlooks the small beach, food brilliant, staff so friendly.
I would definately go there again - no doubt.

We sought reviews on the apts from Holiday's Uncovered before finally booking and promised ourselves we would submit s review for others to view.
Firstly, I would definately recommend the apartments to couples or familys wanting a quiet relaxing holiday which will leave you feeling rejuvenated! The Thomson Rep assured us on the transfer from the airport that we had chosen well and we were definately not disappointed. The apts were spotless, the owners Miltos and Effi were very friendly and couldnt do enough to ensure a perfect stay. The meal in the bar were fantastic and so cheap, the owners regularly sat with the guests which was lovely. We were there during the Football 2004 season and it was great that the Greek's, English and Dane's were united and supported each other.
The resort itself has a supermarket opposite with a fantastic and friendly owner and isnt overpriced considering you need it on a daily basis for provisions. There are other supermarkets along the road. We did walk into Tsillivi a few times which was a nice walk and took around 20 mins. Tsilivi is full of nightclubs etc and we enjoyed our visit but were glad we didnt stay there. There are 4-5 fantastic taverna's, our favourites were a 5 minute walk from the apts at Ambula Beach Ambula Beach Taverna and the Fish Taverna. Eating out here was an absolute pleasure and very romantic. Meals were very reasonable with a 3 course meal and wine costing around £25.00 per couple. Fish is so cheap here and cooked to perfection. We couldnt believe how much food you got.
The only recommendation I would give is to get in to the Greek way of life and out of the English one where you think you must hurry your meal and vacate your table, this is definately not the case and the Greek's way of life is so chilled, never rushing you and an evening meal to them should last 2-3 hours. Leonardo at the Fish Taverna is superb and really welcomes you, my Husband and I regulary drank Sambuca with Leonardo and the Chef!
The Ambula beach is fantastic and my Husband and I were there whenever possible, its golden sand and clear water make it feel safe especially for those with children and it was so shallow and you had to walk quite far out before any depth. We went snorkling which was a great way to see all the fish due to the clear water.
I wouldnt recommend the Thomson trip to the blue cave/shipwreck its a very long journey by boat around a full day travel with about 1/2 an hour at the shipwreck which is a rusty boat with loads of grafetti on it mostly in English too. The best trip for us was to Zante Town it was fantastic and full of many bargins. It felt very safe and the people were so friendly. We were told there is no crime rate in Zante and this was reflected on the news where the most horrifing story being someone doing a u-turn on a motorway!
All in all it was the best relaxing holiday I've ever had, met some wonderful people, ate fantastic food and came home mellowed.
A definate recommendation A+++++
