Tsilivi is quite a busy resort with plenty of bars and restaurants, and can be walked from end to end in about 30 mins. Although the quality of the food we ate when we were out was good, we did feel that almost every greek taverna or restaurant had similiar if not identical menus. By the end of the fortnight we were hard pushed to find a restaurant that served something different. Apart from that there is a bar for all moods without p.r.'s hasseling you every 5 yards. I wouldn't recommend Tsilivi if you are looking for a mad one. But for families and couples it's ideal.

Tsilivi is a lovely resort, clean beach and very safe and shallow for children. Zakynthos is a beautiful Island. Try and get to go on a couple of boat trips to see the stunning Keri caves and the shipwreck to appreciate the natural beauty. Try specialoffer.gr in Tsilivi high street for really lovely small intimate boat trips (They have recently started this new venture, & I would thoroughly recomend them) Also they work in conjunction with the Turtle Protection Society, and so do not harrass the Sea Turtles, and turn off the boat engine and keep the noise down. Both the Turtle Trek, and the Shipwreck trip were worthwhile, cost is reduced if booking 2 trips. Also I would reccomend booking a hire car for 3 - 4 days to cover most of the Island. Theo Rentals in Tsilivi were excellent. Sandra outlines all the best places to go sightseeing, and also helps with suggested car tours. 90 Euros for 3 days was very good value! We explored more caves on the west coast, Damianos, Kamba. Beaches along south very nice too, We tried Gerakas (This is a Turtle protected beach and your stay is limited to 3 hrs, not sunbed, busy beach but very pretty.)We also visited Askos Stone Park in the North, the children loved this, deer walk amongst you, very tame. It is quite a peaceful relaxing place to be. The children also wanted to go to the Water Park near Tsilivi, which they loved. After 2.30pm it is 10 euro, reduced from 14 euro, and 15 euro for adult. For Eating out, The Olive Garden was great. Whilst you eat in the Taverna the children can be next door (where they have pool tables, Sky Sports, Man U TV etc). We have had a fantastic holiday and have come back refreshed. All in all a great place to visit, get out and about and enjoy it!

The accomodation is very basic (do not go by what you read on the Manousis website!!) Rmember it's a Greek apartment, and best to take a travel kettle, and extra cooking utensils etc. There are two rings(one large and one very small) so if you are holidayin...

Tsilivi is an excellent resort. It has something for everyone and is perfect for family holidays. Eating out was brilliant value for money and the food was very good. All of the locals are so friendly towards everyone and make you feel really welcome.

"August 2008 2 adults, 2 kids 13 & 9"

The location of Alamis is ok, 2 mins to the beach, and the same to the bars-restaurants on the top road. Just didn't feel very "Greek" to me. Lots of English bars etc, even a macdonalds. Tsilivi is a lot more commercial than I expected.

Travelled here with our 2 kids, 13 & 9, and two friends with their one year old daughter. Having requested a low floor room due to our friends having a small child and a pushchair, we were given rooms 30 & 32, which was up a flight of stairs - then a spiral...
