Vasilkos is really gorgeous. Very peaceful, quiet and just the place for a totally relaxing holiday. It is definately not the place to have a wild, clubbing type of holiday!

The village has a good selection of Tavernas and a good choice of supermarkets and a lovely bakery.

The beach was a five minute walk from the apartment but once there it was quiet and pretty.The Katerina Apartments are lovely -very clean and a good size. They are cleverly built so that they are shaded so the apartment was reasonably cool. The Marina pool bar was next door with access to the pool etc but we preferred to go the beach although it looks good for children.

We went with Direct Greece and both the reps Jenny and Jemma at the resort were excellent. Very good customer service which does make a difference.We went on a tour of the island with Jemma and really enjoyed ourselves.

Just one downside which is the ";airport"; in Zakynthos! I had heard things about it and it really is that bad. It's like stepping back in time! You have to wait ages for your luggage when you arrive (there is only 1 carousel) and even though we got through check-in (thank-you to our reps) and passport control quite quickly waiting on the other side for your plane is quite an experience! We didn't let it spoil our holiday and would definately go back again.

We booked our holiday to the Katerina Apartments on a last minute deal and weren't sure what to expect, however we can honestly say that we had a tremendous holiday and would definitely go back again to the Katerina. The setting is beautiful, and the apartments are not only spacious but well equipped and extremely clean. One of the nicest things was having a kettle and a shower curtain - a rarety in Greece!
The Direct Greece reps were fantastic - extremely helpful and informative. Resort lovely, especially in May - very green. Places to visit - definitely take a trip on a glass-bottomed boat to Turtle Island - you get to explore the caves, do loads of swimming and are guaranteed to see a Turtle!!!
We would recommend this holiday to people of any age, old and young alike, as there's something for everyone!!
