Corfu is a surprising gem being one of the greenest greek islands. If friendly locals and traditional greek foods are a must then a visit to this island will not disappoint.

The more popular resorts have plenty of bars and there are beach activities for those seeking a livelier holiday. If you are only looking for a little peace and quiet there are many suitable areas in which to stay. Take a local bus ride to travel about and explore the island further.
In late summer, for nature lovers there are plenty of birds to be seen, including many swallows in out of town resorts. The island is quite hilly which might be difficult for those with walking problems but the mountainous scenery can be breathtaking.
The attraction of Corfu is that it is suitable for all age groups with good safe beaches but still with that great authentic Greek feel to it.
