Wilson Beach Resort Reviews

When I visited, the resort was very very rundown and there were health and safety hazards galore. I am used to basic accomodation (having travelled throughout Vietnam and Cambodia on a budget) which is how Manos descibe Wilsons, however I found that the owner of the resort did not really care if his customers had complaints and did little to rectify them. The fortnight we stayed at Wilsons, atleast 16 people requested to be moved to alternative accommodation or were very unhappy with their holiday. On a positive note, the staff at the resort were an absolute delight and really helpful.

Whilst there, we were informed that the owner was trying to find a buyer for the resort, so maybe this is why he let the place go to rack and ruin and gave up caring. The piece of land he owns is very valuable! Buildings included or not!

Poovar Island itself is glorious and remote. Stay at Poovar island resort or the isola (both next door to Wilsons).
