Every aspect of The Bali Hyatt is excellant. My Husband and I stayed for 11 days in October 2007 for my 50th birthday but could have stayed much longer. We had up-graded to the Regency club, which was well worth the extra we paid, the service was out of this world. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, althought not really a hoilday for children some were there and were no bother. All the trips we went on were well worth the money and superb. If you want to be treated as royalty, go to the Bali Hyatt, all the staff wear sarongs at all times which really gives a feeling calmness.

10th August 2006 after leaving Thailand we tried this hotel again for 20 nights.
As we had been in April again the management gave us a room in the tower block.Upon going to the room we noticed a leak in the bathroom. This was reported to maintance. Again the next morning reported again. Came in at the evening still nothing had been done so we went to reception. At 11.30pm we were changing rooms. I didnt go and look at the room personally my husband did as I was busy repacking.
When I got to the room I noticed there was no socket for the kettle so I asked the maid where did I put the kettle to be shown the floor. Then went into the bathroom to find out where there should be a hairdryer connected to the wall was bare live electric wires hanging out off the wall.As I have a 11yr old child I went to reception and management came to the room with me. They could not understand what the problem was. I requested the wires be covered which they did.But when they came to put a extention cable for the kettle they foubd out that the plug socket under the coffee table was not working. They came back with a double adapter.
The following day my husband asked for the matress to be change he was covered with bites from Ants. This they did and then he was alright.
Next we found out that we had no airconditioning. Again to reception where a fan was requested until it was fixed. No fans were available but once i told them suddenly a fan appeared.
Next we had no hot or cold water for a shower. They had been doing some work and had forgot to turn the water back on.
Went out for the day came back to the hotel and was taking sim card for the photos to be deloped and as we were walking passed the Thai Air office 2 Rats as big as cats were running around the office.I suddenly screamed Rats and all the shopkeepers came out. They said that they were fed up of reporting it to Housekeeping to get no joy. Again to reception to be told they were not Rats but Mice. I told them I knew the difference between and Rat and Mice and if they got into the kitchens alot of people would be ill as they are vermin.
Finally I let it all come out. About what it was like in April but I had decied to give it a second chance. Id no airconditioning but a portable fan and finally it had cost £5000 along with Thailand to stsy here. For that price I didnt expect to be running off a Extention Cable and no Aircon.
Next was blow dring my hair when water was dripping onto my arm. When I looked up water was coming from the Spot Light. Reported
Finally I went to the Rep and asked what star rating was the hotel. He told me 5 star where upon I told him no way was this hotel 5 star. As luck would have it I had some photos what had been develpoed of the Pan Pacif Hotel in Singapore what was 5 star. The rep informed me that it was 5 star by Indonsia stanards. Managerment came to our room to inform us we had to change rooms for them to fix the leak.
I honestly went mad and refused to leave my room it wasnt my carpet the water was ruining and I was fed up of repacking if I packed they could get me a flight home. They went into the loft and put a cloth round the leak.Everyday the leak was reported but finally the aircon was fixed.
This hotel I certainly would not recomend. Ive tried it twice and thats it. My daugter put her game boy under the towel on the sunbed we went to the toilets round the pool came back and it was gone.We were told by people who worked at the hotel you do not leave anything foe 2 mins as for some people it is not far to come they usually stay Fri till Mon and they take your things.
As for Sanur it was very quite.Obviously tourisum is down due to the bombs but there was more to do in a Mortuary.
Went Elephant riding be careful cost £66 for 40mins. Guides then make you feel sorry for them and you end up givibg them a good tip.Bali Zoo Park very good, Quading good, Shopping the big Mall in Kuta.
Dining theres a circle K do a good cuppa and sandwitch. Bennos Resturant dont go after 9pm they take your order and start to close. This makes you feel uncomfortable and have to rush your food and leave. Dont order the soup it looks like vomit. Best place to eat Tooties if you can get Attoo to take your order he speaks very good english
Be very wary of the girls on the street will not leave you alone to ";Look at my shop Madam"; they will follow you all the way down the street. Barter over prices. If you would like any wood carving ie door number go to shop 23 in the market he does a really good job and doesnt pester you
There is a bar called Moonlight Bar go there if you want a drink during the day. No 21% goverment tax or service charge. Dont eat in your hotel as you have to pay the tax on each item you order.
If you get the chance go to a Cremation. Sounds morbid but very interesting. Just be careful as they will say you need a serong tourist dont. Bottle water at Cremation about £7. White water rafting great fun but watch the sellers coing back they wont leave you alone
Dont book tours through your rep or anyone selling them. Agree a price with a taxi you normally have the taxi all day takes you where you want to go for abot £7
Anyone thinking of going to Bali its a lovely place but I would advice not to stay at Inna Grand Bali Beach but would recomend the Spa

This resort is absolutely wonderful. The staff, accommodation, pool areas, gardens, are great. For a 3 1/2 star it was much better than the Bali Hyatt further up the coast. We stayed in a bungalow which was wonderful. The staff were always cleaning/ tidying/sweeping up so the resort was exceptionally clean. The hotel is virtually beachfront with great sunbeds/loungers. I would definitely stay at this resort if I ever went to Bali again. The resort of Sanur was probably the nicest out of Nusa Dua, Kuta/Seminyak. Did travel to Ubud for 2 days which was great and well worth seeing, but the Puri Santrian is a must if visiting Sanur and you want a beach front hotel. Couldn't fault it.

We spent the last 5 days of our honeymoon here following three weeks amazing travelling in Australia. Our aim was to lie in the sun in a luxury hotel and relax and this hotel was perfect for that.
The hotel is on the beach with luxury hotels either side. The beach is lovely although the only downside was that when we were visiting in August, there were jelly fish in the sea. We were told that the jelly fish don't sting and I'm not doubting that but I did find it a bit off putting and there weren't many people in the sea. This doesn't matter though becuase there are a number of lovely swimming pools in the hotel grounds.
When we booked the hotel, we upgraded to the Palace Club and I would recommend this to all adults. The extra cost was only £20 per day. The upgrade gets you the best check in that I have experienced - sitting on a silk covered sofa with a cold flannel and freshly squeezed juice whilst someone else does all the paperwork! We were shown to a our ";room"; which was a suite, with a bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom with top of the range fittings and including a separate bath and walk in shower, another room with a separate toilet and basin and a lovely balcony.
This was the best hotel room that I have stayed in. It was immacutely clean, quiet and luxurious. The upgrade also includes drinks and food in a private part of the hotel with separate gardens. Breakfast, afternoon tea (with sandwiches, cakes and fruit) and apperitifs (with hot and cold canapes) in the early evening are included. The food and drink were really excellent here (you could have as much champagne as you wanted in two hours) and there was so much food to chose from (all buffet style) for the afternoon tea and canapes that we hardly needed to buy any extra meals during our stay. These extras really did make you feel pampered. Most of the people here were couples, its not really the right place for children and there was only one child in the Palace Club. Being on honeymoon and needing a bit of r and r, this suited us fine!
The hotel itself is quite something, with lovely gardens, ponds and fountains. The hotel has its own open air theatre which is definitely worth a visit - try the traditional Balinese ballet or dancing - the cast's costumes are amazing and you can get some lovely photos taken with the cast at the end.
The hotel also has its on spa. This is worth a visit - prices are less than you would pay in the UK and its a great experience (the massages are quite thorough!)
We didn't venture out of the hotel grounds as all we wanted to do was chill out. The staff were immacutely dressed and extremely polite and there was no pressure whatsoever to tip anyone.
All in all, a fabulous 5 days.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic if you want a relaxing, quiet holiday. The staff are very helpful, and the hotel car can be hired with driver for a day all over Bali for about £25 inc petrol. When we visited in April 2006, we were the only guests for most of our 10 day stay, the Bali bombings have decimated tourism in Bali and its so sad to see the people suffer such a loss of tourism. Rates are very good, we paid only £31 per night for a suite, air con rooms were a ridiculous £15! Check their site adiramabeachhotel and you'll see the paradise we enjoyed. Airport transfers cost about £20 each way in the hotel car, and though over 2 hours to the hotel, the scenary is breathtaking.

We have just returned from a holiday staying for 8 nights in the Bali Hyatt Hotel in Senur Bali. The service in this hotel was outstanding with the most friendly staff we have ever come across in any hotel anywhere in the world. The hotel is set in tropical gardens which were so outstanding it was a pleasure to walk through them each day. The pool areas were spotlessly clean with plently of sun beds for everyone (free towel service included). In conclusion, an outstanding hotel that was excellent value for money and highly recommeded to anyone looking for a high class relaxing hotel in Bali.
Probably one of the most friendly hotel I have ever stayed at. There seemed to be a lot of guests that were repeat guests. Bali is suffering at the moment following the bomb and people are genuinly keen that you enjoy Bali.

The rooms were fine (didn't spend much time in them).
The food was excellent of of very high quality. Very little room to get bored with the food as there was such a variety every day.
The entertainment was average although the band that played their three nights a week was really good although they didn't know any David Bowie hits.
Had fun with the free watersports.
Went on a number of day trips
Elephant safari - Taro - excellent
Mountain biking and white water rafting - brilliant.
Kuta - not my cup of tea (or glass of Bintang)
A piece of advice - changed flights at Kuala Lumpar - booked the use of the KL Lounge for the family (about £30 on the internet) - brilliant - free food, drinks, showers and plenty of space to relax prior to the next flight.

I cannot rate this hotel high enough - the staff are the most helpful I have encountered - food excellent - stay in the Club Rooms they are well worth the extra you have to pay - the rooms are excellent- fresh fruit and chocolates every day and the facilities of the Royal Beech Club are outstanding. Don't be put off by the recent events in Bali the people are the kindest friendliest we have met and the do depend upon tourists

This has to be the most fantastic hotel. It is owned by Japanese Airlines and the gardens are pure magic. They are absolutely stunning, water features, Koi Carp in beautiful pools.
The guests are predominently Asian, Australian, New Zealanders.....BUT what the hell, when in Rome and all that.
The hotel is actually bed and breakfast, BUT we chose to eat most nights in the hotel's various restaurants, they were just fatastic. We had BBQ's around the pool, BUT on the edge of the beach, we were given a whole lobster each, tiger prawns to die for. The food was superb.
There are many themed nights, which are in various spectacular locations in the hotel, which has its own ampitheatre with tiered seating for eating and watching the shows.
The swimming pool is beautiful and is divided into different areas, one with a swim up pool. There is a huge slide built into the rockery which drops you into the pool.
There are sunbeds built INTO the swimming pool, never seen this before, it is JUST fantastic.
The staff - What can I say, they have the be the most graceful, friendly and peaceful people we have ever met.
The staff at the pool bar are absolutely top notch...nothing is too much trouble for them.
Try the ice-creams for lunch, you will nto need anything else, they are huge and full of fresh fruit and icecream....gorgeous.
One night there was a manager's cocktail party, we got an individual invite delivered by hand to our rooms. This was a superb experience, where we met all the staff whomade this hotel what it is....WHICH is JUST PERFECT.
The rooms are absolutely stunning, clean with a mini-bar.....beautiful bathroom with full size bath and seperate shower cubicle.
There is an observatory on the roof of the sea-front block, which you reach by climbing the many stairs - well worth watching the sun set from this rooftop.
The visit to Jahore Bharu is a marvellous little taster of Malaysia, recommended to all.
Despite the bombings a few days after we came home.....you can be assured this hotel will be on our ";Let's go back List"; and believe me, there are not many of those......we enjoy all our holidays, but realise there are so many places we have not visited....THIS is definitely a Hotel to go back to.
Thanks so much to everyone at the Nikko Bali Resort and Spa.

The hotel is 5* and out of this world. It has 6 restaurants, all of them different. We personally didn't think they were expensive, no where near what you would pay for the same standard in England, however, if you did fancy a change you could walk 10 minutes down the road to the local restaurants which are cheaper and still of a good standard.
The entertainment at the hotel is exceptional and they put on a caberet show most evenings. There is also a lively jungle pub and a quieter piano bar. They also put on themed outdoor all you can eat buffets which has traditional Balinese dancing and is worth the money.
The beach is right on the doorstep and is lovely and clean and the water is turquoise, although you can get bothered by people trying to sell you things. Don't make eye contact or speak, or else you won't get rid of them!
Don't be put of by the Bali bombings. This is a beautiful country with lots to see and do. 85% of the people are Hindu, and are very friendly. They rely on tourists to survive and the bombs definately wouldn't put us off returning there.
