This was our honeymoon and all I can say is that it was pure paradise! We stayed in one of the Garden Villas for 2 weeks. We had our own sunken bath, outdoor and indoor showers, 4 poster bed, plunge pool and even a koi carp pond!

The hotel is 5* and out of this world. It has 6 restaurants, all of them different. We personally didn't think they were expensive, no where near what you would pay for the same standard in England, however, if you did fancy a change you could walk 10 minutes down the road to the local restaurants which are cheaper and still of a good standard.

The entertainment at the hotel is exceptional and they put on a caberet show most evenings. There is also a lively jungle pub and a quieter piano bar. They also put on themed outdoor all you can eat buffets which has traditional Balinese dancing and is worth the money.

The beach is right on the doorstep and is lovely and clean and the water is turquoise, although you can get bothered by people trying to sell you things. Don't make eye contact or speak, or else you won't get rid of them!

Don't be put of by the Bali bombings. This is a beautiful country with lots to see and do. 85% of the people are Hindu, and are very friendly. They rely on tourists to survive and the bombs definately wouldn't put us off returning there.

if you want to stay in the hotel and never leave your sun lounger then this hotel is for you because outside the hotel there is nothing.taxi is a must as walking to any sort of shop or restaurent will take a goood 20 -25 mins walk,in the eveining its not to bad but in the day with bali sunshine beeming down on you its not nice. also you will be forever getting hassled by cars passing by and locals outside the hotel offering you transport.try and stick to the taxis in the hotel this way you will be safe as some of the other ones we went in dident seem to cleaver.ocean rafting is a must, even spotted a dolphin and the snorkaling is amazing,a must. the white water is a good experiance although a bit scarey at times but a good laugh.

the discovering bali tours are very interesting but can get a bit boring although monkey forest is brill.make sure you buy the food to feed them with and dont be scared if thay jump on your head, trust me its hard not to be.kuta is the place for souvaners and shopping and the night life supposed to be great.
melia bali is the best hotel ive been to ,but as for nusa dua its very boring but we are young and ime not the one to sit on a sun bed allday.
