The Delfino hotel is located 15minutes by the hotels free bus from Sorrento. The location of this hotel must be experienced to be beleived. Set on the side of a cliff overlooking the Island of Capri.

Set away from the main road, you can enjoy the quiet and listen to the song of the Syrene's drawing unwary sailors on the rocks. This hotel is spottlessly clean, staff are both frendly and helpfull, and as over 20% of the guests had been their before I think this hotel stands out from the crowd as one of the most delightful relaxing hotels in Italy, and you get sunsets over the bay of Naples thrown in a as a bonus while you dine every night.

Hotel Delfino is a superb 4* hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and the room maids are very thourough. The food is of a high quality and varied. On a Thursday there is a ";Gala Night"; when the restaurant really comes alive with a special set meal plus fireworks and a live musician.

The hotel is aprox 20 mins from Sorrento (by free minibus)but Only 4 times a day to Sorrento 9am,1130am.3pm.and 830pm,with returns at 12 noon,3.30pm, 6pm and 11.30, so this can be somewhat restricting. The only other option is a Taxi.The hotel is part of the ";Calm and Relax"; group so do not expect much else. From your sea facing room you can see Capri 2miles away and is a good sight at night.

As regards Trips do it yourself, as has been noted before, it is cheaper than the Reps over priced organised ones. The trains and buses are usually on time. If you want any information go to ";The Foreigners club"; Information Centre you can also have a meal there and a view over the bay. Will we be going back? Yes but to a more central hotel.
