I love Rome! so possibly slightly biased but woudl say there is something to do for everyone here, andeven the sea is a sort train ride away at Ostia. Most places cetnrally are within walking distance which means you dont miss anything and the people are really friendly.

Rome is magnificent - from the breathtaking st peter's to all of the other wonderful sites in the city - the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colloseum and much more. Watch out when eating out as there are a number of tourist traps - but good restaurants can be found. Definitely check out the recommendations in the HG2 guidebook. Not to be missed is drinks in the courtyard of the Hotel de Russie Hotel.

Rome can be hard work with an 8 year old and a 10 year old but staying on the outskirts of Rome (Holiday Inn Parco Dei Medici) and making use of the hotel courtsey bus made all the difference. It meant we could do Rome in 3-4 hour manageable chunks rather than having to do long days. In Rome the metro is good (although only two lines) and cheap (1 Euro), although distances are relatively short, so with a good street map and plenty of water/ice cream stops most places are walkable.

Rome has so many sights you need at least four days to see them properly. The drinks are very expensive (five Euros fifty for a bottle of beer) and meals also are expensive and potions small. i would suggest DeSpar similar to a UK Spar for drinks and snacks at a reasonable price.

Rome is a brilliant city to visit! There is loads to see and so, the Vatican is amazing, as are some of the old buildings like the Pantheon and the Roman Forum. Only downside is that its full of tourists so there are a lot of overpriced restaurants with lacklustre food.

Vatican area in Rome is very close to everything. Just a short bus ride and youre in the city centre. You can walk but in summer its a bit too hot to do so.

"Trip to Rome With Inexpensive Hotel Rate"

Overall Resort Rating:

Very Good

Open quote

It was really fantastic tour to Rome with a reasonable travel package of 2 days and 3 Nights. Well that was my first trip to Rome. I never forgot that Trip because this time I was going on the occasion of honeymoon.

Our planning for honeymoon was just made in a short notice. We were very much confused about deciding the honeymoon spot. We don’t have enough time to think of it, so we planned finally to visit Rome as I got the flight tickets easily. But when it comes to book hotels in Rome all the problem started.

Instantly I called up one my friend that he might know some way out. He suggested me a website minimaxhotels.com. Without wasting time I opened the website, and searched there Cheap Rome hotels. Number of hotels came in the search result with affordable rates. After discussing the location of the hotels with my wife I booked my travel package at most convenient rates. This website also offers me a discount of 50% on booking.

Within 5 minutes I got the confirmation mail that you have made a reservation in Rome hotels. It’s all because of minimaxhotels.com that provides me cheap hotels in Rome without going anywhere or consulting to anybody with great payment options.

I really appreciate minimaxhotels.com that offers so quick booking and made my trip to Rome successful.

I loved the location. Trastevere is a lively, funky neighborhood full of lots of great little bars and restaurants; from fine dining to late night pizza by the slice.
