"Bb Belvedere review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked the BB Belvedere through the internet, not knowing much about it at all.
The rates were very reasonable for Easter week and to be honest I thought it would be a bit of a dump judging by the photos.
I couldnt have been more wrong, the room was clean ,spacious and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
The view was fantastic from the balcony and although breakfast wasnt included, we were given toast ,jam ,coffee, milk etc.Everywhere in Rome is just so noisy with traffic, and this im afraid was no different.
Rome itself was beautiful especially St Peters Sq. We took 2 kids with us and they enjoyed it dont be put off taking the kids, the Italians love children and although its not a ";kiddie"; place, they loved the sites especially the colesseum. The only word of warning is that they really rip you off if you dont keep you wits about you.
We were charged all sorts of prices for taxis(take the bus)! and at the colesseum, gladiators take your kids, take a photo with your own camera, then try and charge you 10 euros for the privalige. Also watch the restaurants, they add so many charges on top. One especially called the pizzaria near St Peters Sq.They added taxes on to the meal even the italians have never heard of.That apart we would go back at the same time of year (March} I got sun burnt, and would make a point of staying at this appt again.
