"Imperiale Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Imperiale. The staff were courteous and attended to every wish with speed and a smile. The food was amazing, and the breakfast was actually quite impressive too (I've been to Italy many times and breakfast can be a bit plain). The room was extremely comfortable.
Just be careful when getting a taxi from the airport and agree a price in advance. The taxi on the way there clearly ripped us off as the return was 30 euros cheaper, even though it was a nicer car and took longer due to rush hour traffic.

"Imperiale Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This Hotel is ideal for walking to Spannish Steps, Trevi Fountain. They give you a map and it is not too difficult to walk to the Vatican depending how many cafes you stop at on the way. About an hour. This hotel was the old fashioned quiet type where everyone seems to be walking on tiptoes. This may have been because we went midweek. Fair size room but cramped bathroom. No English TV in room. Room service very good and reception excellent. Very helpful.
Plenty of good eating places nearby. Did not explore too much at night. We like a casino for the evening when we go away but there is not one in Rome oddly enough.
