Must say although it is pretty (but then all these islands are) we were a little dissapointed. The best bit was the sea plane transfer Fantastic, worth every penny.
Rooms were nice and kept clean all the time.
Barmen were not so attentive, constantly selling selling selling which is quiet irratating after being asked 20 times in the space of 2 days to book for a meal on the beach at shockingly expensive prices.
The tables in the bar were at night left swimming with drinks, had to go to the loo and get loo paper to dry the table.
Food plentiful although rather repetitive after 2 weeks.
Entertainment awful, we had the same woman on the violin for 4 nights it sounded like a funeral, people were complaining and leaving the bar to go to their rooms.
I found the sea rather choppy, and struggled to snorkel which was a little sad.
Maybe by now you think i am a moaner, but not so, this island is no comparison to Olhuveli beach.
Would we go back, no.

Supberb Island - We went to Velidhu on our honeymoon and took the sea plane option and for £75 each extra was well worth the money. The island was beautiful with crystal clear waters and loads of white sandy beach - room enough for everybody without being packed in like sardines. Food was excellent and varied with a different country cuisine theme each night. Staff were very helpful and courtious. We were all inclusive so not affected but the cost of drinks did seem a little high. We also had a candlelit meal on the beach which was fantastic, a little expensive but we were on our honeymoon.
The only down side was being badgered to buy crab race raffle tickets and the meal on the beach.
If you are planning to go take some Chelsea football club memorabilia as the lads are mad about football particularly Chelsea.

We arrived not knowing what to expect, we were origanlly booked to go to the Hakuraa Club, we were on Honey moon so quite important that it was good.
Anyway, flew into Male, go by seaplane if you can afford it, i totally recommend it (absolutley fantastic), got to the resort 25 minutes later after dropping off at another island, greeted by the resort manager Raj. Shown to our room via the bar where a cold towel was provided, (very welcoming) went through the details of the resort, not a lot, apart from the meal times and the bargain of upgrading to a water bungalow. We declined, and was shown to our bungalow, about 10 metres away from the sea. We changed into something cooler and made our way for evening meal. Huge amount of effort was made in the resturant. They seem to look after the food, taking tempertures and making sure that the food is okay. Never heard any reports of dodgy bellies.
While we were there, there was a few monsoons (lots of wind and bigger amounts of rain), but it didn't spoil the time.
We have just booked to go back, to the original resort (Hakuraa Club) if you can afford it, please go, not just the fact that they are all so smiley, but the islands may not be there in a few years time, make the most of it while you can.
The evening entertainment is there if you want it, but if you want to sit in the bar and socialise you can.
The Scuba diving is good, but on cloudy days it is difficult to swim in the house reef as current is quite strong. Cannot comment on the diving, but tune in next year, as i will make sure i do it then!!!!!
The bar and the room boys are always happy, whether you tip or not, you always get a 'happy hello'. Can't wait til next year!!!!!!!!!!
We travelled with Qatar Airways which on the whole is excellent-but try to pre-book your seats if you can.
Once out of the airport the reps find you quickly and within a short time we were on our way by speed boat. Unless you really like speed boats -fly...

Once out of the airport the reps find you quickly and within a short time we were on our way by speed boat. Unless you really like speed boats -fly. Its worth the extra cost.
The island is paradise! The staff are wonderful! The snorkelling is just amazing-no need to leave the house reef.
The food is really good.Rooms are cleaned twice a day.
GO ALL INCLUSIVE
No shoes required.
Take Underwater cameras.
Also do not buy anything at the souvenier shops at the airport-wait until you are through passport control. The shop on the island is very good too.
Soph cried all the way home. Will be going back next year.
go on then-book..........:)
