On our first visit to the Maldives we chose this resort and thought it was absolutly brilliant.
The simple accomadation may not be for some peoples liking but the staff were falling head over heels to helpl you at any moment that they could. The island is quite small and very personal - you really get to know the people that work there.
We went again two years later after going to a different isl;and and finding that even though it was a four star (Meedhupparu) and that Lohifushi is only a three we thought that Lohifushi was better hands down. The entertainment ia brilliant and the kids were really kept occupied.
Great value for money when you go all inclusive - christmas and new year buffets are amazing

I feel a bit mean saying that this Island should be avoided, But It's the truth.

We booked BandB based on reading other reviews on this website. Big mistake. This turned out to be a very expensive option. After 8 days I reviewed my tab and found that we had run up $1000 worth of drinks and food. This consited of maybe 2 or 3 cokes during the day, 2 cokes and 3 or 4 beers and meals for two in the evening.

The food was a major disapointment. The food in the main buffet restaurant was barely edible most evenings. A better option was to use the other resturants and order from the menu. better choice and price. But i must admit that I felt hungry for most of the holiday. You will also have a 10% service charge added to everything, Even if you serve yourself from the mini bar in your room.It's a beautiful Island and the staff and very friendly, But If you are not a surfer i think you may feel a bit left out. It appears to be being sold as a surfing destination.lots of Australian and Portugese surfers. Do not, and i really meen, Do NOT fly Monarch. Gatwich to Manchester then on to Male, 13.5 hrs. No leg room. Old Plane. Never again. We spoke to other people at the Airport when retuning, they all had loverly time. So im sure that the other Islands are great. They were all Fully Inclusive and if I were to return to the Maldives I'd go to one of the Islands further from Male in the north of the north Atol. They transfere by seaplane but everyone that we spoke to who did this had a great time.

Lohifushi is too expensive. i thought it was about twice as expensive as central London. If you go here at least go fully Inclusive, But then again you will have to eat in the buffet. Maybe just dont go to Lohifushi unless you dont eat or drink.
