We were a little disappointed with the interior of our appt. The web site and brochure stated it was 4 star. We were told 2 weeks before the start that the appts. had not been upgraded like the rest of the hotel but were 3 star. With only 2 weeks to go we decided it was worth going ahead. However it was in a poor state of repair and the facilities in the room were tatty and very basic.

Room sizes were good and the balcony and views could not be faulted. The worst thing about the rooms however, were the pillows. We simply could not sleep on them, although the linen looked clean the pillows inside were quite disgusting. We complained to the Hotel and they were changed with brand new ones within half an hour, so not a bad response time. The air con did work and boy do you need it. Full use of the Hotel's pool is included and our kids loved it even though it's a smallish roof-top pool.

The Hotel itself is really nice and as we'd booked breakfast we enjoyed a really great start to each day in the Hotel's restuarant. It's very good value for the extra you have to pay. It meant we did not need to cook in the appt. at all which we did not fancy due to the very basic cooking facilities provided in our appt.

Best place to eat in Marslaforn was without doubt the Il Forno run by a good jazz guitarist named Winston.

Marsalforn was a great place for a swimming based holiday. The people are lovely and friendly and very honest... if they had no fresh fish they told you. If the steak was not the grade specified on the menu they told you... You would not get that in France these days.
