hotel was a beautiful one, but holiday was spoilt because there was no entertainment at night in the hotel. there was not a lot to do at night. because of limited transport you couldn't stay out for long. if you are intending to stay at this hotel, it would be wise to hire a car, it would be easier to get around.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is the hotel to stay in. The nearest town of Mellehia is 2.5km away. The hotel runs a shuttle bus between 9am and 1pm - after this you need to walk the 1km to the nearest bus stop.
The hotel needs updating but it is clean and the staff take great pride in their work and in the hotel, doing anything they can to make sure your stay is enjoyable. If you get chnace to stay half board instead of BandB - then take it as if you have been on a tour or on the bus around the island all day, its so much easier to freshen up and eat in the hotel than get dressed and get a taxi (for about £5 each way) to Melliha town. Also pay the extra to have dinner in the castle in the grounds - the food is excellent!!!!!
The food in the hotel is also very good but sometimes a girls just needs a little luxury
There are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms so if you need a cup of tea befor you can get dressed in the mornint take a travel kettle.

The hotel also has 22 resident cats and kittens, they do stay outside, mostly by the pool, but if you are not an animal lover, dont bother coming here, we loved it and regularly took tit bits outside for the kittens after breakfast and dinner.
I would certainly come here again. Another piece of advice - dont take the hotel shuttle bus to Mdina or Valetta - they charge you about £5 each, where you can get the local bus fromn the bus stop 1km away for 50p and they run every 15 -20 minutes.

We didn't reckon much to the food at the hotel. We ate out every night twice at the Hilltop food was good .We ate at the maritmbistro under the maritm excellant food good portions. The kids enjoyed the holiday but you need a taxi to get into the village as the Selmun Hotel in the countryside.Htel prvide taxi at 3.50lm each way.We will be going again ideal spot for chilling at pool not much choice to eat at lunch at the pool bar they only serve baguettes and you can order chips.
