Mary Rose Apartment Reviews

The accommodation is very cheap, and you will find out why if you book. It is very basic, consisting of a 2 bed apartment on the second floor of an old building, there are about 19 steps to the apartment and about a further 12 to the roof, The kitchen has no hot water and the bathroom is very basic and dingy as is the whole apartment, both bedrooms have twin beds, the lounge is very uncomfortable with not enough lights or sockets, no TV or radio. The roof area has no proper seating or parasols, there is a laundry area consisting of a tap and a sink.

We were warned to keep the roof door locked at night as the neighbours had been known to come through it, The building has 2 garages on the ground floor with parking outside, on the road. The garages were rented out so the parking spaces were usless if the people who rent the garages want to use them, the spaces are usually taken by the lockup garage across the street, the noise from this garage is very loud from dawn to dusk and the fumes are choking, the noise and fumes from the ajacent building site was terrible.

We booked for 6weeks and paid 50% in advance, we stayed for 5 days then left and booked into a hotel.A very good place to eat in Mellieha is L'Amigo on the high street and Drifter Car Hire and Taxi's are excellent.
