Definitely not 4*, 3* maybe, but overall a very nice hotel. Staff mostly very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is remarkably good. Rooms adequate although aircon was a bit rickety. Tap water in Malta may be safe but tastes very strange. A pity then that most places (Santana included) use it for tea, coffee, ice etc. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Saquella was particular favourite for its maltese cuisine.

Average resort, but Malta overall is pretty interesting. Bugibba centre is walkable from Qawra and more active. No beaches as such, but enough swimming and snorkelling. Malta is easy to get around, although roads are poor. We had a hire car with aircon whic...

See my review in Buggiba - it seems to depend on which tour operator you book through as to which resort this hotels falls-into! It is equi-distant from both sea-fronts!

Stayed here for 7 nights and couldnt fault the hotel in general yes it is a bit dated but this is in keeping with the hotel design the recepion is light and airy with wondeful attentive staff.

Stayed here for 7 nights and couldnt fault the hotel in general yes it is a bit dated but this is in keeping with the hotel design the recepion is light and airy with wondeful attentive staff.
we stayed on the fifth floor at the front of the hotel with good views over the surrounding country the room was fairly large abd the balcony was very big with a table and chairs and 2 sun beds although the shower wasnt very powerful
the breakfast menu was nice with a good selction each day of either cooked or continental
the hotel is in a good location for both the bus station and the beach front making it easy to get out and about to see the island
