Having studied the Belleair brochure and thinking we had done our homework and picked a good 4 star hotel we were extremely dissapointed on arrival to be allocated a room which can only be described as being at the bottom of a well. Asked for an upgrade and 3 days later got a harbour view room which was better and brighter (paid LM88.00 for 11 nights) No umbrellas at pool side until Friday of our second week and then only 6 were provided. Hotel itself was clean, food good and portions were more than adequate. Would only rate this hotel as at most a 3 star. Constantly bombarded by time share reps the minute you stepped outside the hotel door. Very annoying.
Wish we had known about this web sight before booking.
This is the second time we have used the Kennedy Nova. The staff are always polite and welcoming, and the cleanliness of the hotel is very good. However the maid we had for our room was not the best (bed throws chucked over folded clothes and left).

The hotel is well situated with bus stops all along the strand.
We had breakfast in the hotel which was very good, but after last time we had decided to eat out on the evenings. We recommend Pebbles restaurant which is just up the road. Although just hop on a bus and you can dine in some great places either in Valletta, St. Julians etc.
Ticket touts are a pain, but to get round them we simply said that we were already part of RCI and they left us alone completely for 2 weeks (lesson learnt from last time)
Loved Malta and recommend the harbour cruise as well as a trip to Gozo. We included a trip to Mt. Etna on Sicily and although we enjoyed it, it is a very long day, getting up at 5am and getting back into the hotel at 12.30am.
On the whole a great holiday.

OH WHAT A DUMP
we arrived at this hotel after a wonderful weeks cruise on the libra star asian pacific lines .we arrived at the hotel struggeld through two sets of doors with our cases to reception filled in the usal forms told our rooms were on the third and fourth floor and the lifts were there. when we got to our rooms opened the door we thought nightfall had come very quickley no windows just a door which opened onto a balcony about two foot by two foot.
we thourth it can only get better. how wrong we were the first nights dinner was edible.we go to breakfast next morning bacon just about cooked fried the eggs while you waited guarented to break the egg every time.we walked outside the hotel straight into timeshare promoting the hotel.we found later that it was sold to timeshare.

We asked for a quiet room only to be given one under the resturant marble floors and constant noise from 6am to 1am five hours sleep.
No natural light in the rooms the balcony if you can call it that was in a lift shaft four walls.
Bathroom very shabby split bath panels black cement grout never cleaned of the tiles when the floor was laid.
Pool area is a joke old furniture umbrellas no two alike and not to safe, it closes at 7pm and this was the ONLY place you could get a view.
Loved Malta Hated Kennedy Nova the living dead would love it no natural light
food no comment

On arrival we were met by very pleasant reception staff. We had a family room which gave us plenty of space, however, we were right above the bar and the smoke would find its way into our room. The swimming pool is situated on the roof, it is small but inviting if it gets hot (not in April). Breakfasts were very good, catered for most peoples needs. The drinks were reasonable in the Hotel.
We ate out every night as we have a friend who is Maltese and he spoilt us. Most Maltese people are very friendly and speak English well.
The only thing we didn't like was the time share people that pester holiday makers along Sliema and St Julians sea front.
If your are looking for a good beach though, go to Mellieha Bay (nice and sandy) although mot much to do of an evening.
We have been to Malta several times and will continue to go back. Hiring a car is easy as they drive on the same side of the road as we do.
** BEWARE*** - They now have speed cameras on the island, 3 at our last count.
