Tigne Court Hotel Reviews

The flight on Air Malta was basic to say the least.
On arriving at hotel at 1.ooam we looked at each other and thought ";what have we done?"; The entrance to the hotel was straight in from the path. The lift was only just adequate for the two of us and our cases. The room was very basic and small, the bathroom even smaller. No rep greeted us so we decided to wait until the following day and see what transpired. The linen was clean and along with the towels changed regularly.

The rep tried to sell the many tours which were expensive, I would advise to get on the local bus and explore the Island yourself, the north and south circular routes were worth every penny. The rep informed us that she had had no complaints about the hotel, people were complaining all the time so this wasn't the case.

We paid extra for a sea view, only to find that there was no air conditioning in these rooms, only interior rooms have AC, we had a fan.

The food on the other hand couldn't have been better. Plenty of choice and some days didn't know what to have. Lunches were as good as the evening meals. The barbeque on the lido on Fridays was particularly well organised and food good but no alternative as the dining room was closed that night. The dining room needed an electronic fly killer as there were a lot of flies around.

The lido was private to hotel guests where there were sun beds and umbrellas, just don't sit on the chairs that have the mattresses on as these belong to the owners, a 'reserved' sign would not go amiss!!!
The staff were friendly and could speak good English.

All in all it was a good holiday it was just a shame about the hotel that could do with a face lift.
