We had our wedding at this hotel and what more can i other than it was fantastic! When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a suite this had a leather sofa and chair, a queen size bed and carpet! Wow it was gorgeous, we even got bathrobes and slippers. Our only complaint was that we werent told by the tour opearator that the cascading pools were closed due to refurbishment and that was where i wanted some pictures of the wedding but on the day it was too windy for pictures to be taken outside anyway so we never bothered to complain. With this hotel being on the Baypoint it was quite windy and you couldnt really sit on the huge balcony. St Julians is a nice place but a bit run down, but travelling around Malta we found that this is how Malta is and we enjoyed every second of our holiday there and our wedding was fantastic.
I cannot rate the Radisson Sas highly enough. We had a very relaxing week at the hotel, and the staff were very friendly and most helpful.

The hotel was virtually taken over by a wedding party from Northern Ireland, I must admit on some occasions the hotel pool did feel like the Falls Road Belfast rather the Bay Point Resort Malta. On our first visit to the pool the bride was paralytic in the pool and was putting of children entering the pool.
Please be careful with the mini bar, and don't do what I did. On arrival at the hotel I completely emptied the mini bar and put my goodies in, unknown to me each item is placed on a computer sensor, and you only 15 seconds to replace before it is charged to your account. I should have read the card which did explain this. The staff at the reception were very understanding and removed the items from the final bill (must have thought I had major drink problem) .
I now understand from other reviews the landscape in Malta is somewhat lacking, some parts do look really shabby. We manage to fit a boat trip to the ";Blue Lagoon "; it was very a lovely location , however it was totally packed with tourist , and I am sure they were going for an all time Maltese record of how persons you can get on a piece of concrete to sun bathe measuring 20 feet by 10 feet .
If you think of going to Malta for a cheap holiday, think again. We found most things expensive or at least the same prices as the U.K., and beware Malta is going over to the Euro in January 2008, this normally a good excuse to push prices up .
I love Valetta, and I loved the old public buses ( and yea our bus broke down on the way back from Valetta the oil sump fell off).
I do not believe I will return to Malta, we had a good time but its not one of those holiday destinations where you think I must go back to.
We have been to this hotel 3 times and got married there in 2005. The staff are amazing - the hotel seem to keep their staff which I always think shows a good hotel.

My kids love it - they go jetskiing with their dad and always seem to find something to do - tennis courts are available.
With regards to the negative comments on here - yes the shop is expensive but we always go to MandS which is at the bottom of the hill and buy drinks for the day.
There is a restaurant/bar round the corner which sells jugs of cocktails and a wine bar right next to that. Its only a 5 minute walk. And if you want nightlife you can walk into St Julians which takes about 20 mins
Anyway I am off to pack the cases as we are going back there this year.
Well what can i say about the Raddisson SAS?,apart from this is a 5 stars of class.Very clean as you would expect, great facilities, excellent service and great food,so good i've booked again for next year this time for 10 days.

Our room although clean and comfortable was triangular shaped with a window so high my wife had to stand on a chair to look out. Where was my balcony and sea view I had booked? Next day the efficient staff took our bags to our next room, which had a nice sea view, 2 days later we received a request to move to the hotel next door (Corinth San Gorg 50 lira bribe) as the Raddisson was over booked. On talking to other holiday makers, it transpires that this is a normal state of affaires and also many had not received the room they had originally booked on their first nights stay, and also offered the bribe to move as there was a party of Italian delegates here for a conference, together with their arrogant attitude to the lowly holiday maker.
Would not reccomend this place, needless to say we took the money and moved next door where we were upgraded and treated very, very well. - shant bother with the Raddisson again.
