Great resort we stayed here last year and greatly enjoyed ourselves, can totally recoemed a holiday to St Pauls Bay for anyone wishing to visit and enjoy Malta.

Not much to do in Bugibba but there was a good bus service which took around the island and not expensive.

St Pauls has a nice seafront to walk along. It is also near to Bugibba, which has a lot more. In December the weather was largely fine, a very pleasant change to Manchester

The only good beach near us was an ashtray it was a sand ashtray It’s like its going out of fashion on the whole island So if you don’t want to go here you can dive off the rocks oh but there the same

If you are thinking of going to Malta for a holiday then you must hire a car and get out and about and see the island otherwise you will probably hate it.

"Slightly boring!"

The area on the other hand didn't really suit us (Me and my boyfriend, ages 20-22) as it was quite quiet, so we went in to Buggiba one night, I wouldn't recommend using taxis (which the staff at reception arrange for you) for transport as the busses are so cheap! I understand it can be daunting getting on a bus in a stange country but it's worth the saving! (The taxi into Bugibba and back was 20 euro and to get the bus was less than 5 euros there and back for both of us!) Oh and once we got there we found out the area we were in isn't actually St Paul's Bay it's Xemxija (pronounce Zem-shia, which you'll need for busses etc) There's about 10 restaurants up and down the main street outside, Munchy Moose has full english breakfasts for 5 euros!!

"Beautiful Views"

Overall Resort Rating:

This is a reasonably quiet resort but you can go into Buggiba where there is more activity. I prefer peace/quiet so for me this was ideal. If you prefer more life - would not recommend this for you. You may need St Julians or something like that location. Valetta was a must to see (historical to say the least) Bus trips are a must and easy and very cheap.

The resort was great and the was perfectly situated. the bars were always open and i had great fun. the food was exceptanal and there was a lot of sights to see.

"Fairly scenic"

Apart from a few nice restaurants there's no reason to vist here. Just drive through it on your way to and from the Gozo ferry.

Very little to do or see. Few bars/cafes. Prices vary enormously so look around. Lots or tourist type shops selling cheap goods.

Although this part of Malta does not have a main beach as it is a bay, you can get local busses to anywhere in Malta very cheap and there is plenty to see and do in Malta. Very nice resturants can be found in St Pauls Bay.

St Paul's Bay is a bit like a cheap, tacky resort but away from the beach and front area it can be quite charming in places. You need to look hard for this though!
