If you have booked here, you lucky thing, you are in for an experience never to be forgotton. Hire a taxi and travel the island, full day or half day you will have your own private guide and view at your leasure and it's not expensive doing it this way. Visited in May 2008. The weather was OK, about 65 degrees, sunshine, evening turn dark early. The staff are so helpful. Rooms are spacious with large verandahs containing a sofa bed which slept on on a few occasions so that I could hear the water lapping on the shore. Food amazing by didin't really 'get' the Seven Colours' restaurant, well presented, excellent service but some strange combinations. If you are all inclusive, try the lobster meal at the pool bar one evening, consisting of 5 course meal...... fantastic!! When you arrive you will smell the aromatherapy oils that they constantly burn. Whlst there I bought x2 bottles of the orange and cinammon oils from the health spa so that I could burn them at home. Have a great time!!! Took my daughter, aged 12 but there where no children... perhaps because of time of year.

What an amazing place. Certainly the best holiday we have ever taken! We travelled to the resort to get married together with our teenage children. Upon arrival the view of the beach across the infinity pool is stunning. The service afforded to us was second to none. We were made to feel so welcome. Our rooms were beautiful. Very well presented and immaculate in cleanliness. We had a separate room from the children who were accommodated next door. We had paid a supplement for beachfront rooms and it was a worthwhile investment as the views were wonderful.

You have a choice of eating in the main restaurant, the beach restaurant or two ";Fine Dining"; restaurants. The food in each is marvellous. The main restaurant alternates between themed buffets and al a carte menus. The food is always fresh and very well laid out. I would thoroughly recommend the Premium all inclusive package. If you choose to go half board take lots of money as drinks are expensive (champagne £7 a glass, whiskey £8 a glass).
Unlike other all inclusive resorts which have offered a choice of red or white wine the Heritage give you a wine list from which to choose your favoured type.
The Fine Dining Restaurant within the hotel has a Michelin Star and when you are served the meals you will see why. The appearance of the meals cannot be faulted - we were sad enough to take photographs of our meals!
Water-skiing is one of the included free watersports and the tuition is so good that all our family were capable and confident within a few days at skiing.

For our last three days we were upgraded to the hotel's villa. What a marvellous experience. This place is charged out at £2500 per day!! It is massive with a private pool and your own butler. We came back from our holiday feeling that we had been spoiled. I would repeat that this was our greatest holiday ever. We spoke to a number of other families there, a number of whom were well travelled, and not one could think of a better place they had visited. Enjoy!

The hotel, staff, all inclusive package, beach, Golf and spa treatments (the disposiable undies take a little getting used to) were absolutly wonderful.

If you are looking for a beach holiday based around a hotel you would struggle to find a better place.

However outside of the hotel other then a trip to the nature reserve (quad or 4x4), the crocodle park or a visit to the capital Port Louis there is very little to do.

In addition although the daytime entertainment package was great night time tends to be focused around the resturants and bar and is restrictive for children both day and night.

We loved it and will probably be going back.
