Hotel Beau Rivage Reviews

We went for our honeymoon, there was no better way to follow our fantastic wedding day than to arrive in Mauritius and experience an unforgetable two weeks.
We cannot say enough about the fantastic service we received from the momement we arrived. From collecting our luggage at the airport and being greeted and personnaly shown to our waiting mini-bus, to arriving at the Beau Rivage.

We had never experienced anything like it. As we arrived at the hotel my husband headed to the back of the mini-bus to collect the luggage, only to be ushered away whilst the driver took care of it. Then to my own surprise even my handbag was taken from me and carried by one of the wonderful reception staff! As we entered the stunning reception area we were given drinks and flannels to freshen up and then were personnaly shown to our room and even given a guided tour of our room and shown how everything worked. There was even a knock at the door to see if we needed help to unpack!

The room was fantactic, absolutly immaculate and that was how it was kept for the whole two weeks. Towels changed and the room cleaned twice daily!
We had a wonderful view over the gardens and the ocean from our balcony and were infact pleased we hadn't upgraded our room as the upgraded rooms were on the ground floor with a terrace and didn't benefit as much from the view.

Every meal we had was fantastic. Always lots to choose from and it varied from night to night. Not to mention our wonderful complimentary honeymoon meal, with decorated chairs and table and a personalised menu for us to keep.
The service in the restaurant was exceptional. The waiters even carried your plate to your table after you had chosen from the buffett (even if your table was only a few steps away!)
The beach was fantastic just as i imagined it to be. The service on the beach was amazing. Waiters cleaning your sunglasses, moving your sunbed, arranging your towel, bringing us fresh fruit, you can't even imagine! We even arrived at the beach one day and our usual spot had been set up for us complete with towels and our usual drinks! All the watersports were free and the staff at the boathouse were friendly and helpful. Daily games of volleyball etc on the beach, great fun and the staff really made an effort to entertain us.

Only negative thing was we had a cool,cloudy and rainy first week but still enjoyed spending time in the Trou Le Lou bar!
The sumertime rep was great. We eventually had a fantastic trip on a catarmaran after being rained off on our first attempt!
We are definately going back in a year or two.
We would recommend it to everyone!!!!
