We went to Les Pavillons on our honeymoon and it was amazing. From the moment we got there to when we left the staff were brilliant. When we arrived they came out to meet us with cold flannels, and gave us welcome drinks. They wouldn't let you do anything, insisting on carrying your luggage for you and with the buffet meals they would even take your plates to the table for you when you had chosen what you wanted! That took a bit of getting used to! Everyone was very polite and friendly.

Accommodation was nice, not British luxury but it was very Mauritian and we were impressed. The complex is very attractive with gorgeous and well looked after gardens. We had a deluxe room on the first floor and the bathroom had a jacuzzi which even had sea views.
Room was cleaned twice daily.

Beach had nice white sand and plenty of water sports. We tried water skiing which wasn't as easy as it looked! The sunbeds were nicely laid out and there were plenty of them. The beach wasn't cramped at all. It was so peaceful! There was a beach refreshments service which was really handy. There were a few people selling trips etc on the beach but as soon as you said no thanks they would leave you alone.

We were really impreseed by the food. Every night had a different theme, some meals were buffets but others were brought to the table. There was a Mauritian speciality night, Indian night, Chinese night, Italian night... Each meal was four courses and had loads of puddings to choose from.

Evening entertainment was also good. There were loads of excellent singers and musicians who performed, and a Sega night which shouldn't be missed! We were all inclusive so made sure we tried all the different cocktails and lagers.

I don't think we can fault the hotel at all and really enjoyed our honeymoon there. There was a games room with pool tables etc, mini golf, tennis courts, a gym, and a relaxing jacuzzi in a garden.

For trips we recommend the scenic south trip, the tea route, and the botanical gardens, which were all very different but if you want to see Mauritius they are brilliant for that.
