We really liked Cancun as the beach is lovely and there is a lot to do. Really nice weather too, November seems a great time to go. There seemed to be lots of Americans and Canadians around.

cancun is a very lively resort, with loads to do and see. go up to the party zone great for adults..not a place for kids. you must visit COCO BONGOS..the show is amazing. tuesday night is ladies night and admission is half price. usually costs 80USD per couple but that means you can drink until 6am if you so wish. the DOUBLE XX bar is a good laugh. HARD ROCK CAFE is a must if you like live music. PLANET HOLLYWOOD is inside LA ISLA mall good meals in there. HAGEN DAZ ice cream parlour is terrific. especially the chocolate brownie explosion ice cream. RAINFOREST CAFE is a good place to visit. try out the CHOCOLATE FACTORY in the KUKULCAN PLAZA...that is amazing if you are a chocolate lover. lovely shops in there as well. overall CACUN is a great holiday destination

The nightlife area was smaller than expected and we found it expensive especially as we had paid all inclusive. It cost around $50usd to get into clubs however this did include your drinks all night. We only went out twice, once to Coco Bongos and Senor Frogs and therefore are probably not the best judges on the nightlife, but i felt ayia napa in cyprus was better. Coco Bongo was by far the best club and if you are going to cancun you have to go. This place will keep you entertained all night and is like nothing else i've been to before. There were plently of shopping malls and restaurants in the resort but neither were exceptionally cheap, on average they were what you expect to pay at home. The buses were the best way to get around and the service was 24hr. This was cheap and cost approx 35p per ride, and was far more entertaining than a taxi.

We went to this hotel in Sept 09 - the weather was great, the alacarte food was amazing if you stay at this hotel you must book the Don Pablo and order the surf and turf, they don't give you steak knifes as you dont need them. the swimming pools are amazing and always warm. There is a mini golf buggy taxi that takes you between the hotels that are on the site and also a night club which is based a 10 minute walk from the hotel called Tumal. so you dont hear the music near your room. The waiters are fantastic and understand very good english. I will definatley be going back there again.

In a word or two you must visit COCO BONGOS !! It is the party central of cancun, has been compare to a Vegas show, to be honest, i much prefered this to vegas, what a place

Very hot,lots of iguanas,if you don't like getting bitten by mosquitoes don't go here you need lots of mozzie repellent or you will get eaten alive.We where bitten 15-20 times in two weeks but we did see some people with bad looking legs arms ect.

Playa Car is the very small gated community where the hotels are, if you get a taxi 10-15 minutes into Playa del carmen you can shop, eat, drink in the pretty little town. There is a few touts, but they aren't pushy at all, and you can have a wander around and even take the ferry over to the neighbouring island.

Prices are very cheap, we ate out on 5th avenue (the main street in PDC) we had starters, steak and lobster and a few cocktails and including tip it came to 50dollars!

the riviera maya is a lovely long strtch of coast running down the side of mexico, with beautifull beaches and fantastic coral reefs.

Dzibilchaltun … it just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? This ancient Mayan site is about 10 miles from Merida. Getting there could be a challenge. It is rumored that there are collectivos going there from Merida. Since I took one back, I have to assume there’s some truth to it. After going to the collectivo stop at Parque San Juan, the drivers there sent me to the Progresso collectivo station, where they sent me to a spot closer to the grand square, where they sent me to another spot even closer. I gave up and hired a taxi for 150 pesos.

The Dzibilchaltun entrance fee was 76 pesos, including the museum and archeological site. Apparently, locals know to tell the front desk they are visiting the cenote for a swim, and they get in free

the resort is excellent as a scuba diver you couldnt get better ive dived with www.solobuceo.com they are at the back of rui cancun ive dived with them on a number of occasions very prefessional not like aqua world who cancelled 2 of my dives and didnt inform me at hotel,best place to dive is the cennotes excellent

Because Catalonia Riviera Maya is like a mini resort in itself it is not really necessary to leave if you don't want to. There are a few restaurants and bars at Puerto Aventuras, a five minute walk away but it is quiet and quite expensive. The nearest clubbing resort is Playa del Carmen which is a 16 dollar cab ride away.

on arrival we were taken aback by the poverty of the town of puerta plata which the coach has to go through to reach the hotel resort, it would not make you keen to visit it at all.

lively resort, good shops. Plenty to see and do but very hot. we went scuba diving which was really good

My Wife and I went to cancun for our honeymoon, weather was excellent and the place was full of activities. We will certainly be visiting again soon,....

the resort was large had lots of shopping malls to get cheap designer clothes there were lots bars and resturants nightclubs a must see is coco bongos it is amazing you cant miss this show
