Cancun is a lovely resort the people are so friendly and there is alot to do and see so your never bored.

Our hotel is about twenty mins from downtown cancun, so if you like to go out walking to the shops of a evening then this might not be the place for you. The hotel does provide free shuttle bus during the day but not in the evening, and apparently the cabs are very expensive. there is a couple of shops on site that sell all that you could want including presents and we found it very cheap, in fact the prices were alot cheaper than at the airport, including drinks.

Cancun is a lively area with plenty of shops bars a nd nightclubs.If ur looking to see authentic mexico then this isnt the place for u as its built for tourists and everthing is loud and large!The beaches are beautiful though and the weather was perfect!

only went out of the hotel complex twice so we didnt really see much of what was on offer but what we did see seemed to be vey good people were very friendly and pleasant would definetly return

We were not impressed by Cancun, not a family friendly place (hotel not family orientated really - more for the adults looking for a good time). We ate out at Hard Rock Cafe which was amazing, right on the beach - abouth the same prices as in the UK.

This little store is a real treasure. I love to shop and this is one of my favorite places. All of the items in the store are beautiful and reasonably priced so you can buy lots of cool stuff. The glass work that Rodolfo does is really something special that you will want to take home with you. I really enjoy shopping here and the owners are wonderful and very helpful. If you miss this special little shop you will be sorry!!

Lively but family orientated - lots to do both in resort and within easy travelling from resort, All kinds of shopping available, lots of bars, restaurants and cafes - even starbucks and McDonalds for those who like a taste of home! Taxis everywhere - $5 from anywhere in PDC to any hotel in Playacar, although an easy and safe walk. We never once felt unsafe - even when we split up to do our own thing. People very friendly. All in all a great place to be and yes, I would return.

This plaza is in the San Angel part of the city and Diego Rivera's house is also nearby. The park is not really large, but was filled with art for sale on the sunday we visited. There are some really good restaurants nearby too. We ate in a little place called "Oaxaca". Great food and we were serenaded by a guitarist who received tips from all the customers. Most of the customers were locals, a good sign in any restaurant. We had just walked from the Cuyoacan area and were a bit tired. This was a great place to relax for a while and look at the art on display. I'm really glad we visited

The name Cancun means "golden snakes," but you won't find any venom in this sun-kissed Yucatan paradise. The most popular destination in Mexico, Cancun beckons with stunning aqua-blue waters and white-sand beaches. While Cancun's reputation is for spring-break fun, wholesome activities for the family can be found: Ride horses on the coast, snorkel and canoe in a reserve, swim with the dolphins. If all this leaves you sun-blind, plenty of bars and fine restaurants tempt at the end of the day.

If you are willing to venture a few blocks from the hotel, (and trust me it is safe to walk even at midnight), try Los Adobes just down from McDonald's, where you get a great meal for about $10. They have great security at this hotel, and it is one of the best I stay at in regards to service anywhere in North and Central America. I enjoy the live music, and have found that I can not hear it at all from my room, so it is not a distraction as far as I am concerned.

We didnt really see much of the resort as we were 20 km outside Cancun.

However, when we did go into Cancun for excursions, the beaches looked great, there were loads of shops, and the restaurants and bars looked great.

I've listed it as for party animals but it suits everyone of any age. Loads for kids to do, great beaches to relax on, amazing nightlife and some incredible sights to see and visit.

Cancun is a flexible place suitable for all types of people. The hotels further from the town offer a quiet relaxed atmosphere, but if you fancy partying and clubbing the town is the place to be. There are loads of shops, a local market and famous restaurants. There is a water park in Cancun, which belongs to the palace chain of hotels, so is free for palace guests. Cancun offers beautiful surroundings mainly the Caribbean beach, but also has a lot to offer in relation to Mexican culture and history. Many activities are available to in Cancun from water sports to ancient history trips. An all around fantastic place to go to for anyone.

cancun is a lively place day and night if you cant find something to do your not trying the busses are excelent they run about every 1-2 minutes and the drivers all think they are in a race so hang on but so cheap only 7.5 pesos to go anywhere

We went all inclusive so din't venture out of the resort loads but what we did see was amazing. There are shopping malls nearby, and easy access to anywhere on the island by bus. Definately recomment Xel-Ha and Dolphin Discovery, we did a jungle tour too which was basically speedboating, great fun! Tip requests were excessive, but the buses are cheap enough. All in all, plenty for anyone to do.
