Being a travel agent I have sold this place more than any other. No place I've been to has beat the Moon Palace. This wonderful Hotel has everything for everybody. The weddings were so wonderful!! We celebrated our honeymoon here and you are treated that little bit more special!! You have different coloured armbands than everyone else so all the staff know your honeymooners or newley weds. Couples on their anniversary family parties all have their own armbands so all staff can cater for your needs. The FOOD is better than anything you would get back home such a variety is on offer, and when they cook a steak, boy they cook a steak! So many resturants to choose from. The bars and night club are great! The moonlight bar right on the beach only opens when the sun has gone down, beds are lay out on the beach so you can have a lovely romatic private moment to stare at the stars. This would be for couples and adults only as it is quite intimate and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. The main lobby is where most families gather with a great party feal and a great place to share your days trips with other families. A gorgeous jewellars on site has the most exquisite jewellary i've ever seen and at good prices to. ALL the staff are something else from the bell boys to the chefs and cleaners all are super friendley, respect your privacy and are more than happy to just about anything you ask. We had no problem tipping them, waiters usually 2 dollars at dinner and a dollar at breakfast and lunch. this works out 4 dollars, £2 in sterling. This is nothing considering the extra lengths they go to for you. We tipped our cleaner £20 dollars after the first week, she was fantastic doing more than what i would say her job description asked of her. I look at holidays is spain, greece canaries and cyprus and I wouldn't pay to go again. You end up paying the same to go to these places considering all the spending money you need. I guarentee you once you've been here your expectations of what a holiday should be will completley change!
Everything you could want

just returned today from what should have been a 14 nights stay at the moon.we have had to come home 10 days early because of the dreaded dean hurricane!all i can is what a shame the place was true heaven apart from the hurricane which was about to hit!we decicided to leave early because we thought that it was to risky to stay? the moon does have a shelter which is very safe but the whole prospect of what might be a cat5 disaster was non to appealing?
i will definately go back, the rooms ,food , staff, pools, kids club was absolutley fabulous.we have visited many places all over the world and the moon does take some beating.however if you are not keen on large hotels this place may not be for you ? its very ,very busy and some might say not very intimate because it is so huge.
as a family we loved the place and apart from the impending dean ,every body else thought so to.with all the hundreds of staff there we can honestly say that we did not meet one miserable one.the people here are lovely and nothing is ever to much trouble.im so looking forward to goin back to complete the rest of our holiday.we just were very very unlucky that a storm came ! but hey every one there was well looked after and most importantly have lived to to tell the tale.any where you go in the world things can happen and if you worried about everything you would never even venture out of your front door at home!
i can honestly say i cant wait to go back later in the year. most importantly we were given 3 days warning about the hurricane ,which is more than you get in this country!
Upgraded to premeir gold. Do it as wide seats alone are great on 10hr flight, but also 30k luggage, free drinks and better service.

Hotel, stayed in Sandia section, halfway from Nizuc and Sunrise. A popular misconception is the distance of Nizuc lobby to Sunrise lobby. On the seafront its a 400mt WALK. Yup thats it, 3 mins lobby to lobby. whoaa thats a long way. If you go by room to room, its longer as they are at angles to each other. Sandia to lobby less than 2 mins. Disabled access is second to none with long ramps to ALL areas, lifts at center sections in sunrise and wide flat concreted pathways, electric doors to lobby etc. WIFI (54g)is included, and I used it for Skype, so got virtually free calls to UK.
** DO NOT STOP INSIDE AIRPORT when coming off the plane. The people inside ARE timeshare. They will try to fool you by saying that they are with Airtours/T.Cook etc., but they are not.**
Walk by and say NO (unless you want timeshare that is). Your rep is outside the airport final doors, which are one way only, and they can`t come in to greet you. Great weather, long flight, excellent food. A-la-carte, no need to book, but you may have to wait 1-2hrs. Trick is to go and eat there as soon as it opens, cos the Americans seem to eat after 7-30. Spirits are JD, Baileys ETC. Beer is mainly Corona, so drinks are good. Towels good, beds firm but big, 7` width in ours, 2x 5` next door

What a wonderful place we went on our honeymoon, i didnt know where we were headed as my hubby did this as a surprise and what a wonderful one it was, we couldn't have asked for a better place, the food, drinks,(you certainly wont go hungry or thirsty anyway its 24 hrs) entertainment, rooms all exceeded expectations. The service is second to none, and the staff really helpful and friendly. I usually wouldn't have booked quite such a big hotel but we would definatley go back. You get full use of all resturants and bars in the adjoining hotel, with a bus to ferry you back and forwards all day and evening.
We were given quite a few extras as honeymooners, fruit and champers in our room, honeymooners party and photo, t-shirts and special meal. So makes it all feel a little bit special.
A visit to the coco cabanna club down town Cancun is a must by the way.
