"boring"
Overall Resort Rating:
Not a lot to do in Agadir, a few pubs including an English Pub were they showed sport and served beers. was quite expensive though. A Bird Park for the kids which was ok to while an hour away at, the keepers will let you in the enclosure with the Llamas for a tip. A Noddy train leaves from outside the Bird place for a nice ride around the resort, this lasts around 40 mins and the kids enjoyed it. You can book a trip with one of the many 'travel agents' around the resort, we went on a camel trip and it was brilliant, it cost about £30 for four of us and that included a horse and carriage ride for the baby. There is a McDonalds in the resort by the beach, same prices as the UK though. Pizza Hut next door but menu was in French and no meal deals like the UK. Foods was quite expensive in the Resort as were drinks. There is a great Ice Cream shop there though and they do every flavour you can think of.

"Agadir"
Overall Resort Rating:
We were extremely lucky with the weather, some other guests told us that up until the day before it had been much cooler and rainy. But we had low to mid 20s and pure sunshine! The town itself is quite modern, though the souk is interesting if a bit touristy. We recommend the daytrip to Traodant though for something more authentic. The beach was good, a bit windy sometimes but excellent to sit in the sun and read!

Overall Resort Rating:
The resort itself was pretty average really. However, we did not venture out much as we were put off by the people trying to drag you in to back street shops.

"Beautiful Beach"
Overall Resort Rating:
Initially as we didnt know the correct prices we paid too much for taxis and food! On our first night we were charged our transfer fee to our hotel at 220D's- dont let the porters take your bags as they will want a tip and bring a pen as aiport staff are quite moody....However by the second day we realised what we should be paying! Agadirs taxis are small, very old and red- drivers will try their luck to overcharge you but you should only pay 10D's up until 8pm and after that its night rate at 20D's (even this is generous) Rihab was nice- short walk to the beach! Men can be a bit pervy so be aware but overall everyone was friendly and lovely! We went to the souk- there are 2 one is souvenirs and other is clothing! Would recommend the clothing one! Some good bargains to get! Locals will try and charge ridicoulous prices, again just haggle them!! They all do the same thing once you haggle with them they start wafting their hand and grab the product you were haggleing about and throw it in a bag - telling you to take it!! sales tactics dont feel embarassed just tell them you wont pay that price! Numerous times my boyf walked away only for them to call back and reduce the price anyway!!!! Big mistake for us was going to the souk on our first day as we were not aware of what locals were paying compare to tourist prices, spend a few days getting the feel of agadir then go to the souk!! Things we did were camel riding, we were approached by lots of men trying to offer it- dont pay a deposit as they pretend they need it! Just take their card and when you get the best deal call them to book in, we got ours for 90D's each which was much better than their suggested price of 200D's! Went on the little white train for 18D's each which was nice- it allows you to jump off near your hotel!!! Walking up the prommenade was lovely, you can hire deck chairs for 20D's and can have them all day!! When haggleing the locals can often become offended but just walk away!!
Places to eat would be Oceana (Indian) we paid too much for food initially and then we found a place called snack bar gorgeous food at a reasonable price!
Have mcdonalds there and pizza hut too if you want some home comforts also have the english pub!!
Would strongly recommend if you are all inclusive you do spend some time away from your hotel! There is lots to see even if its just walking around!
Locals really are friendly and i would def go back! Dont think you will go there to get lots of bargains as tourists prices work out same as here, infact some things were more!!!!!!
When haggleing straight away half the prices given to you- lots of people get ripped off- they will tell you they wont make profit that way, just tell them to leave it!!
Weather is beautiful- Get some argan oil and some aragn cream for aftersun really works as couldnt tan initially however within couple of hours had tan coming on!

"Agadir"
Overall Resort Rating:
I wouldn't say there is a tremendous amount to do in Agadir, but you will be entertained for a few days by the souk, the remains of the old kasbah and a few nice villages nearby. You also won't struggle for food, because even if you don't like the delicious tagines or French dishes there is a McDonalds and Pizza Hut. The nice warm weather makes for a lovely relaxing break though, as you can sit on the beach and read etc. At worst, we had a day like a nice spring day in England. At best, it hit 28 degrees!

Stay put at the sofitel - nothing really to see! Typical fast food restaurants - less hassle than whilst in Marrachek though.

The resort has little to offer outside the hotel, but as the majority of hotels are all-inclusive, this is not a problem. It is safe to wander about and has a lovely promenade to walk from the hotels into the centre of the resort.

Quite nice resort, the souks were good. It is great for windsurfing, which suits us. Ignore the offers of trips to Marrakech though, it really is miles away!

"Busy area but not much to do"
Overall Resort Rating:
Obviously muslim country so not easy to get a stiif drink. Locals very nice....but don't get caught out by the chat of sales men who entice you totry out something and end up being taken into a tight, shopping area with no escape until you part with a few quid. Safe though...

We quite liked Agadir, it wasn't as toristy as we feared. We are windsurfers, and we were able to do this here due to the Atlantic location. A trip to Essouria is a must.

great for families with kids. pools are safe. beach is clean, just do not make eye contact with the locals trying to sell you stuff on the beach, the prices for jet ski's etc can be knocked down if you argue the cost?

"agadir"
Overall Resort Rating:
The hotel itself was very clean especially for the size of it. The entertainment team are very good and provide all of the entertainment themselves and work very hard however it could do with some alternative acts brought in just to add a bit variety. The water park attached to the hotel is also very good. My are 8 and 4 and thouroughly enjoyed going every day. Now for the bad bits !! This hotel is not for British guests in our opinion. It caters for the Germans, Russians and French first and these nationalities make it very obvious that they resent the British being there. Grown men elbowing 8 year old children out of the way to get to the kids' chips isnt our idea of a great holiday, blatant queue jumping for the drinks, and towels on the sunbeds from 11.30pm!!! Get a life you are on holiday and it isnt a soup kitchen!!! This hotel also allows the other two neighbouring hotels to use their facilities resulting in 20 minute queues at the restaurant whatever the meal time. Id say if you had no kids, it was last minute and very cheap then this would be the holiday for you. We arent a fussy family and believe that a holiday is what you make of it however this was by far the worst holiday both as a couple and a family we have ever had. As for the comments on the planes yes they do seem as though they are about to land on your hotel but the transfer is short ( 10mins ) and after the first day you really dont pay that much attention........
