The room wasn't ready for our check-in, but it did give us ample opportunity to explore the hotel and work out the places to eat/drink/relax. As All Inclusive guests we were provided with wrist bands as a means of identifying to staff what were entitled to. However it was not explained to us until a waiter explained that all-inclusive residents lunch was from the buffet, and anything chosen from the menu would be at our own expense. With our introductory meeting not until the next day we were unsure of where we could eat/drink under our allowance. That aside, our rep was EXCELLENT!

The room was cozy, but instead of a large bed, we had two singles pushed together. Furnished nicely with plenty of space to store our luggage and to hang clothes. The balcony was positioned perfectly over looking the pool. The pool itself was large, if a little chilly at times, the heating of the pool was only turned on towards the end of our break.

The food in the main restaurant was buffet and focussed towards the french influence on Morocco. The local dishes available were amazing, but may play havoc with your digestive system (need I say anymore!). Our personal choice of hotel restaurant was the Italian.

The hotel is gorgeous and relaxing, the only point we would add is that the tennis courts require some work, and we could count on one hand the number of British people there, and on the same hand the number of people under 60! Entertainment in the evening was not aimed at young residents, and was repetitive. The nightclub was extortionate also for drinks and filled with locals around 1am.

For us, our honeymoon was for relaxation. For young families it may not be ideal with the hotel catering for an older generation who have a fair amount of cash to splash.

Resort - Good selection of eating places, Garden L'eau, Jazz Club (£60.00 for 4 people including drinks, wine etc). Can get pestered a little when walking round shops, but no more than any other African resort. If you want night clubs etc then there are a couple but it probably is not the resort for you. If you are happy to stroll have a nice meal and a few drinks at a bar then not a bad place to be.

Hotel - Stayed bandb so can't comment on evening meal, but breakfast and staff v good. Private part of beach for hotel guests only, clean with plenty on sunbeds no pestering from locals. Entertainment at hotel (if that what you want) was the usual band/singer, drinks not that much more than local bars.

Weather - Be prepared for sea mist in July / August. Sometimes doesn't clear till 12;00 and if unlucky all day. Still warm 23-25C. Still get burnt if no suncream !!. We were there for 6 nights and had only 2 full days of what you could call clear blue skies.

Trips Not much to see within the imediate vicinity, so don't hire car, unless you want to go to Marrakesh (fantastic but hot, 38C at 20:00.) and a 4 hour drive. If you go there you must stay overnight and stay in the Medina in a Riad. Don't stay outside in one of the modern hotels in the Hivernage, or you won't get atmosphere. ";Big Square"; in day full of kiosks selling fresh orange - 30p per glass, and snake charmers, you will need to pay them if you want to take photo etc. At night like an open air restaraunt and packed with locals, all eaiting at long refrectory type tables. Sights and smells amazing.

Would not recommend My Travel - reps in resort are not at all helpful.
Hotel full of geriatrics and the only entertainment is a group who sing the same songs every night - for 2 weeks!!
Nice beach shame about the staff - service is appalling even when you tip!
Hotel well situated for centre of Agadir but my advice would be go somewhere else!

i was in a party of 4 people travelling with mytravel. we were informed at the airport in agadir that we were unable to go to the hotel we booked on an all-inclusive basis and were taken to the agadir beach club. the hotel is not equiped for all- inclusive; it is old and tired; the staff are lazy and unhelpful even after tipping. mytravel were useless and i would not recomend this hotel to anyone under 60.

The hotel was very good except that the hotel's moroccan restaurant was closed for most of our stay - very disappointing. However, the tour operator (Thomson) was rubbish. I will never use them again. We booked specific seats on the plane but they failed to reserve them for the return journey and now refuse to compensate us by denying that we booked ! My wife is a very nervous flier and is much happier when seated where she feels best. My wife's specially ordered vegetarian inflight meal was already opened when she received it, so she could not risk eating it. Thomsons have refused any compensation for the lack of facilities at the hotel or for their failures on the return flight. Also, the tours organised by Thomsons had very inaccurate descriptions and were very bad value for money. Its much better to book scheduled flights and hotels direct !!!

we have recentley returned from agadir and just wanted to say a few things . Firstly these apts are overrated although kept very clean the interiors are very tired and dated and some fixtures are falling off doors and windows and the self catering equipment is very limited. The pool area is very small and full of screaming kids - ok if you are travelling with screaming kids which we were not. The bathrooms have no shower curtain and is just a hand held shower so the bathroom gets very wet!! Rooms seem to be assembled around a courtyard so you don't have a great deal of privacy.

The apartments are generally used by Moroccans and there are very few English families. The town centre and restaurants are on your doorstep but do take care crossing the roads as the Moroccans do not stop for pedestrians, especially on level crossings (the markings are only there for show!!!) we had to be helped accross the road one night by the Police due to traffic not stopping.

The best areas to use on the beach are the private beaches which cost about just over a pound a day each for your sunbed, use of cafe, showers and toilets and play area. Other private beaches offer different/more facilities (we used Palm Beach). Using these private beaches you are not bothered by the beach hawkers. The beach was swept on the day we arrived but was not swept again so presumably it is only swept once a week, which made it quite litter ridden by the end of the week.

Went to Marrakech for the day but it started at 6am and returned at 1am the following morning, but it was well worth it. The day trip was good value for money, seeing the sights, the markets (souks) and having traditional food and entertainment.

Agadir is average as a town, quite modern and not like the oldy worldy Morocco like in Marrakech.
ps. The best bar in Agadir is the Jockey Bar which is situated down an alley by a restaurant called L'Orange on the main drag through Agadir.

We stayed at the Agadir Beach Club for the first two week in July, we had searched for some review on this hotel and found none prior to going.

The hotel is lovely a good 4* with friendly and extremely helpful staff, the bedrooms are on the small side but perfectly adequate for what you need, includng mini bar (not dear) hairdryer, safe etc. with clean bed linen every other day and clean towels every morning, and also clean pool/beach towels every day. There was no noise in the rooms which was great for an afternoon siesta and we where overlooking the pool.

The Hotel itself is spotless, including the private beach and the pool area (which is great)it has 5 restaraunts including, International, Sea food, Italian (my favourite) Morrocan and Al La carte and the grill and beach at lunchtimes. The piano bar is the perfect place to sip a gin and tonic before going into your chosen restaraunt and the cabaret lounge has some good artists on stage. for the lively among you this hotel also has a huge lovely night club but like so many in these hotels it doesnt seem to get used much.

it is in the perfect location just a 7/8 minute stroll to the centre of agadir, with some good shops on your doorstep.all in all this hotel ticks all the right boxes and we'll be returning in October this year. Its what i would call a truely relaxing holiday without any of the hassle and rush which you get in so many countries, total R and R

One more thing for the adventurous out there we did the overnight to marrekech and its great what an experiance, well worth a visit - but not for the faint hearted!!!
