I couldn't find anything about this Hotel before I went other than the On-Line description before I booked. It was very accurate and exactly what we wanted.

It is a hotel one block back from the seafront promenade but right in the centre of Agadir. Ideal for exploring. The more expensive and all inclusive hotels were at least a taxi drive away from anything that was happening. OK if all you want to do is stay at the hotel or take the rep-organised tours. My husband and I went half board and as the pavement cafes on the seafront only cost £4-5 for a pizza or the local delicious Tagines it would not break the bank. Small beer £1. That being said, the food at Odysee Park was OK - a local choice or a standard meat and 2 veg option. The majority of the guests were French and some Germans. All of them were very polite and helpful. The Moroccan people were lovely. Most spoke English and always had the time of day for a chat of some kind. They did not expect a tip for helping you (not like in Egypt when we went last year), but the local Agadir folk were most appreciative if you did tip them! We walked for miles and miles each way along the seafront, and although just a little commercialised by way of lots of pavement restaurants, there was no rowdy image.

The locals were covered up because most were Muslim, but as long as you respect them and keep your bare bits for the hotels then Tourists would not feel uncomfortable. All the local families walk along here at the weekends - a real spectacle. A lad named Ali who was walking to the fish market joined us as we were going the same way. He took great delight in showing us the fresh fish market and practicing his English. His family ran Restaurant 19 (60 or so to choose from) and he offered us Mint Tea (which all the locals did without expecting payment) and at no time did we feel obliged or in danger by anyone we met. In fact, in the evenings (before it got really late) there were many families out and about with their children. The Odysee Park is not suitable for children only Adults because there is no animation team and there is no babysitting service, but some of the larger hotels offered these facilities. If you are like us and love walking about, meeting people but not nightclubbing or drinking too much, then Agadir is for you. Rooms were adequate and clean. Be careful when changing money - you need to know your 15x table i.e. 15 Dirhams to the £1 to ensure you are not short-changed. This Hotel does not allow you to book food or drink to your room, you have to pay as you go along ... not a bad thing but you should be aware of it. No tummy bugs, but we did stick to buying bottled water.

The Odysee has been recommended for the last 2 years by Neckerman - a German resort specialist and all their guests seemed to be very happy. There were only another couple of English people at our hotel but that did not matter. The Hotel offered speciality Moroccan / Italian nights whilst we were there. The breakfasts (omelettes with choice of filling freshly cooked), standard continental, cereals, etc., were more than adequate to get you going for the day. Not a tremendous amount to do in the City so a short break in the glorious sunshine of Agadir is great.

Just arrived back from 2-weeks stay at the Odysee Park Hotel over Christmas.
The hotel its self is very clean and the rooms are nice, they class it as a 4* hotel but i would say more 3*.
The pool area is quite nice with a small bar area to get drinks from, the swimming pool is quite small and would be very crowed in high season.
The food for me was not great very set up for European style, pasta every night with a choice of a meat dish normally chicken, fish, some times beef, however the food was never very hot like i say the way the European people like it.We never saw a single chip in the hotel in the two weeks we stayed there, however there is a Mc Donalds and Pizza Hut on the front!!! (sad).
A lot of French and German people stop at the hotel and we found that the staff bend over backwards to help them out more so than the English.

Most of the Reception staff are quite arrogant towards you and often ignore you if there is someone else there, however there was one very nice man there who worked from 9-4 most days !!
The bar staff of an evening are very good and polite however the entertainment of a evening was dreadful !! the same person each night playing an organ who couldnt sing to save his life.
If you are staying for two weeks i would recommend that you book some of the trips that they offer as there is not a great deal to do and even less in a evening, we went to Marrakesh and did the overnight stop in mu opinion not to be missed and well worth the money (around £95.00 each).
There are many shops there to buy presents from however be prepered for lots of hassle as nothing is priced and you have to haggle for it, the shop keepers do not like you to say no and many think you are a walking CASH MACHINE!!!!.
You can however find fixed price shops where every thing is priced up and you tend to get no nassle at all, one shop i would recommend is the Uni Prix by the big square all priced up and no hassle at all.
There are loads of copy named clothes over there Van Duch, Diesel, Nike e.t.c. and very cheap i brought loads of t-shirts £2.50 each and Nike trainers £18.00.

Over all the holiday was ok, would i go back ?? probably not.

my wife, mother and myself booked 1 weeks full board plus holday to the odysee park hotel agadir .the hotel looked great on arrival very clean well maintained.from arrival we were greeted by rude ignorant reception staff who showed a reluctance to welcome us.(i might add that my wife and my self are of a mixed race marriage).wich upset both my wife mother and myself.we tried to put this aside and carry on with our holday.this behaviour carried on in the dining room, internal bar and poolside bar at each of these areas we were met with the same welcome we had experienced at the reception.the only polite and friendly staff we met were the porters the man who tended the pool area the cleaning staff.

part way through the holiday we hoooked up with a couple from hull, from that moment on they received the same treatment that we had experienced.we were told that we could use a courtesy room as we had to check out 12.00 noon, when i went to reception i was told i would have to pay them 440 dirhams per person for a late checkout room .

the choice of food was poor, consisted mainly of fish and chicken wich was cold at each meal, no matter what time you came down to the dining room with the exception of the soup and bread rolls. a large percentage of the staff were surly rude and ignorant, this holiday for me and my family was a total waste of money. so people steer clear of this hotel !!!!
