we went to this hotel as a last min deal to get some sun. it was great weather every day. the hotel was good the reception staff were nice as were the restraunt staff and pool life guard. we stayed at the hotel on a bed and breakfst basis. i was less than impressed with having cakes for breakfast!! while we were there the breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, tea coffee, toast, pitta bread, pancakes, madeira cake, lemon cake, croissaints, french pastries, sliced polony sassage and a bowl of boiled eggs and a bowl of salad. and also a bowl of butter chunks in ice cubes, and a bowls of various jams. my partner said he enyoyed the breakfast though. there was also a fly problem in the restraunt, with no windows open.i hate to be critical but this is the truth, my partner was bitten by one!
the hotel pool wasnt large but there were enough sunbeds, there was a life guard on site who controlled the music everyday. and there was two tortises and a resident cat :-)
the rooms were cleaned everyday, we had a tv that didnt work, we told reception staff, who gave us another but no sky or english speaking news etc. the bar was nice there was entertainment most evenings, kareoke, dancing, snake shows. when you ordered drinks they would be accompanied by a couple of small tapas style dishes. they have a morrocan night in the restraunt wich you had to pay for but it was brilliant, a belly dancing, then 5 morracan boys dancing using hats, a group of acrobat dancers, another group of belly dancers, and five course meal wich was very good. it was good entertainment and they did get the audiance up to perform with them, they do come round collecting tips. it cost about £ 25 each i think.
we booked to go on a couple of trips one camel riding, they were an hour late, but it was a nice ride, we were offered another free ride to make up for the delay.
but our favroite was a trip to marrecesh it was great well worth booking because there is alot to see, we were going to do it alone but pleased we took the trip, there was the palace , yve saint laren gardens, back streets where they make things sold in the main marrekesh square. the square was amazing fortune tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, i wasnt so keen on the scorpion fights, or the people walking around with monkeys for photos as i love animals and hate crulty. you also have lunch at a 4* hotel, and an amazing dinner at beautiful reastaunt with belly dancers in the backstreets of marrechesh. :-)

The Residence Intouriste is about a 15 minute walk away from the beach and about a 30 minute walk away from the centre of town. 5 mins in a taxi which costs about 20dhs. The hotel room had a large king size bed, balcony, shower room and small kitchenette - clean and very comfortable.
Currently there is quite a bit of building work going on around the hotel I think it was another 3 or 4 hotels being build so at the moment you do look out over a building site, but the noise is minimum. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. There's a small pool and about 30 sunbeds, so if the hotel is full I imagine there's a bit of a dash for a lounger. We often went down to the centre of town and had a sun lounger there's a couple of places you can pay one called Oasis where you can have massages/henna etc or the one next door to the right hand side as you look at the sea where it was 20dhs and you were left in peace, which we preferred.
Breakfast was continental affair, with bread, cake, croissants, cornflakes, cheese, meat, jams, honey, pancakes, coffee, fresh juice. We didn't have a meal in the restaurant apart from a bar snack which was great. We tended to go out each night down to the main square to eat, very cheap, menu of the day for about 35 dhs and very tasty. Lots of tasty food. One of our favourites was Taco Loco, but there are quite a few to choose from. We went off to Marakesh but rather than paying £180 through the tour operator we organised it ourselves. The local bus costs 70dhs each way you need to book it the night before,it takes about 4-5 hours and they stop off for a drink/toilet break. Club Med has a hotel on the square. We stayed at CMT which was very cheap 240 dhs but I wouldn't recommend it, great location but reminds me of my backpacking days.
We loved Morocco weather was great, food/drink cheap and friendly people.
