"excellent hotel in relaxing ones mind"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Booked through Expedia and got an extremely competitive rate. Emailed the hotel in advance with a couple of enquiries (as I was sharing with my Mum wanted to ensure two beds available in the room) and got a response. Requested a poolside room as per other reviews and was very glad. The road outside could get very busy in the evening and poolside was very quiet. The welcome to the hotel was good and our bags were taken up immediately. The lobby is large with lots of comfy seats and the 'tea' room is gorgeous. Our room was massive - with two Queen sized beds and a nice balcony. The only thing I would say was that the room seemed really bare with only a couple of pics on the walls. Bathroom was nicely sized but the shower was a little pathetic.... barely any water pressure and you can't angle the shower head - meaning you are standing almost against the wall to get wet. However only a small complaint. Breakfast was included and actually not bad at all, although they did concentrate on pancakes a lot - we ate a lot of the scrambled eggs and fruit as the pancakes looked a bit greasy.

" fantastic hotel "
Overall Hotel Rating:
The first room I was given had dirty tile grout, scrapped walls, water was leaking from the a/c fan and the room was musty. I complained and was given a room that did not have any of these issues. Overall the room I stayed in was average to above average. This hotel is certainly not a five star hotel (based on US standards) I would say this hotel is comparable to an average Crowne Plaza back in the States. Some of the things I didn’t like are: 1) Business Center was closed during the stay due to lack of connectivity – I had to use the business center at the Hotel Atlas Medina which is a 5 minute walk (and I had to pay to use the internet) 2) Spa Facilities – Had a massage which left a lot to be desired – the masseur was average and the room I received the massage in had a louvered door…I could hear the staff talking and walking back and forth. 3) No alcoholic beverages served.

"quality hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
When I was making my vacation plans for Marrakech I wasn’t sure whether to stay in the Medina or the new town. I ended up making a reservation at a Riad in the Medina which had outstanding reviews. My stay at the Riad in the Medina lasted less than 24 hours as I was disgusted with the location and the lack of basic amenities. I chose the Mogador Menara because of the great location and facilities. Overall I would recommend this hotel for several reasons. 1) Great Location – easy to go to the medina or the new shopping areas. 2) Great Value – We paid $135 per night and got a large comfortable room, the price included breakfast and dinner. 3) Felt Safe – One of the main reasons I left the Riad where I initially booked was that I did not feel safe in the immediate neighborhood where it was located. The Medina is very large and for the most part I felt safe in most areas.

"excellent hotel to visit"
Overall Hotel Rating:
great hotel, good location if you don't want to be right in the souks and perfectly central for all of Marrakech's attractions - the tourist bus even stops just outside. Lots of nice restaurants close by and hotel breakfast was good too. Rooms lovely, lovely size and large beds. Would defiantly recommend for a short break or longer beach holiday!

"excellent hotel "
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed here for three nights post camel trekking in the Sahara. Overall I think I would have preferred to have stayed in the communal Berber tents with no ablutions! I appreciate I wasn't paying for 5 star luxury but there is no excuse for basic standards being absent.

"Ryad Mogador Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Great location, within walking distance of the new town and the medina plus all tourist attractions. Directly opposite the bus station, so no need to get a taxi from the airport. Big supermarket next door. Room was adequate and had air conditioning. Small plunge pool on 1st floor was refreshing after a hard days shopping in the Souks. Breakfast was great. Staff could have been more helpful though.

"clean and very relaxing hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This hotel is excellent for relaxing, soaking the sun and just chilling out. Staff were a delight, buffet breakfast is nice maybe not 5* standard. The swimming pool is not heated so was freezing when we went, hence nobody went in and just sunbathed around it. Anyway, for the money I think this place is great. Location is not too bad and you can even walk to Jamaa el fnaa in 20 mins. Do as we did sunbathe during the day and go out at night when it is cooler for shopping. Other 5* hotels are considerably more but then would ensure you have heated pool etc. Hence value for money I give it thumbs up.

"Fairly cheap hotel in a good location"
Overall Hotel Rating:
A fairy nice place in the hotel district of Marrakesh - however there a probably many hotels in the area that are very similar to this one. The location and the price are the main features of the Ryad Mogador seeing as it's only 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Marrakesh and there's a Tour bus stop a few minutes walk away.
The breakfast at the hotel was very basic and limited, but not much else to complain about considering its much cheaper to eat out. The service was OK but it seemed only a few of the staff could speak English properly - a grasp of French would be handy to get around.
The hotel offers some excursions but most of these are fairly expensive for what they included. The best value excursion (which we did) is to Essaouira for a day tour whereas other tours could be arranged via a taxi or other operators.

"really good value for money"
Overall Hotel Rating:
good hotel, gave us everything we wanted good value for the price we paid
the hotel staff were fine. they were eager to advise and gave us the help we needed
"Fantastic location"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was nicely furnished with a real feel for Morocco. The hotel was well cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. The excellent location of this hotel made it easy to visit many attractions and places of interest by foot. Located just outside the 'Medina' and also close to the new city.
I went with a friend, but would also be ideal for couples, families and the elderly. The food was not the best here, but for the price, you can not really complain. The service was pretty good too with a few exceptions from some of the staff, who lowered the overall standard of the hotel.
The swimming pool within the hotel was pretty small, so if you do want to sit by the pool, this hotel may not be the best for this.
Overall a nice hotel and you get what you pay for.

"A CHEAP BUT efficient HOTEL!!!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Although Marrakesh was amazing the hotel we stayed in was not all that. My friend and I stayed in a twin room for 5 nights in this hotel. The beds were comfy though the room was very small. The shower was simple. Our room had a balcony over looking a round about towards the city wall which meant it was quite noisy in the evenings and in the morning. The air conditioning in the room didn't work, neither did the air vent in the toilet.
The continental breakfast consisted of very dry croissants, boiled eggs, pancakes and Greek yogurt. A very handy thing about this hotel is beneath it is a supermarket where we stocked up on fruit and bottles of water. It is a great location as we were within walking distance to get everywhere. This is a simple hotel for a place to put your head down.
"A fair hotel in the bustle of Marrakech"
Overall Hotel Rating:
When me and my friend stepped inside the hotel we were amazed (in a negative way) by the service. Instead of getting a friendly meet and greet, the hotel receptionist showed us a paper and said fill it in please. Not a good start to the trip. However as the day got on, the service seemed to improve. Miss Moody was replaced by a more friendly man, who every time we came back from our trek to the Sousse greeted us in a positive manner. The next day we enjoyed some delicious continental style breakfast, a good way to start the day. The restaurant inside the hotel was also very glamorous based on the price we payed. The advantage of the Ryad Mogador is that it also is very close to all the major attractions. The Sousse is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the Atlas Mountains literally a 40 minutes drive. But remember when hiring a car use the hotel to sort out a fixed price with the taxi driver, as some can be rather dodgy.
"Ryad Mogador Menara Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, the room was spacious and clean - however, wouldn't myself class as 5 star, more 3/4 star. swimming pool so cold couldn't get in it. food was nothing special, barely warm and no changes throughtout the four nights stay. staff were slow to react and sort out any problems - it took 5 times of asking, for the manager to eventually come and open our in room safe, we hadto ask most days to have our towels replaced they took them and never returned any. we hadto iron on a sheet as they had no ironing boards.
as for marrakech itself we would never go back, we were constantly harrased by both adults and children begging for money, very overpowering and inditimidting, even an official guide wouldn't take no for an answer. be careful with food my husband had the tum bug.
