The Falls Backpackers Reviews

The Falls Backpackers is in Purukaunui Falls in the Catlins which is at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand. It is an idyllic location although there is no mobile reception there which is absolutely brilliant. It makes a real change to be not contacted. The rooms are clean and tidy and the hostel bathrooms are neat. the beds are comfortable although they are bunks so pick your bunk buddy carefully. staff are friendly and are willing to suggest tha tbest walks and trips for you - they can help you find the best things to do. I really like the fact that there is a gorgeous deck that you can use and also a garden to sit in. It is beautiful and a really relaxing place to stay.

There are also plenty of things to do inside, enjoy cooking in a nice kitchen or sitting, talking to other travellers. It is a really friendly place and everyone seems to have a good time. Overall I found this to be a great place to stay. It is warm, cosy and friendly.

Definitely recommended.
