I went to Krakow on a short winter break with my girlfriend in March 2008 and we stayed in the Atrium hotel. The price we paid for the hotel was very good and we were extremely impressed with everything in the hotel. The room was very spacious with a new flat screen TV and the bathroom was spotless, with our towels and bedding being changed every day and room cleaned aswell. On our first night we arrived fairly late in the evening and just ordered some food in the hotel which was of a very high standard and of extremely good value for money (as with most of the bars and restaurants in Krakow).
The location of the hotel is within about a ten minute walk from the Rynek Glowny (Town centre) and many amenities were close by. One thing to note would be that we booked an excursion via the hotel to Auschwitz which cost us roughly £40 each which we thought was of good value considering the travelling distance to Auschwitz however, after we had been to Auschwitz we found that places in the centre were advertising excursiuons at a much lower rate and I would advise people to book from these rather than the hotel (these are legitimate as we also went on an excursion booked through one of the city centre companies).
There is the excursion to Auschwitz and also the salt mines which are the main attractions however, I would also strongly recommend a trip to the zoo which was fantastic (albeit situated out of the centre and you need to get a local bus due to there not being much advertisement for the zoo).
Overall, the hotel was very modern and clean and definitely worth staying in and the holiday overall was very good.
