Great beaches & large choice of places to eat. Plenty of water sports. Busy resort with plenty of choice.

The resort has changed since our last visit 3 years ago there seems to be a lot of hen and stag parites there now. There is plenty to do in the resort and a trip to the old town is a must. There is a train that takes you there but this works out more expensive than going in a taxi, the train is o.k. if you buy a ticket to use all day but otherwise take a taxi.

There are lots of British bars and restaurants in Albufeira, which is great if you are travelling with young children as there is a lot of choice for them. The beach is lovely, but being the Atlantic it is that bit rougher and colder than Med destinations so you need to take care. But all in all it is a nice place and we would return.

100% fabulous. We return to this resort upto twice a year and have done so for the last 5 years. Entertainment is very good with many bars, clubs and discos to choose from suiting all ages and tastes, we can personally recommend 'Tony's Sports Bar' situated just outside the 'Oura View Beach' and behind the English Chippy, Tony and Fatima are more than friendly and offer fabulous service and for those football/sports fans Tony has multiple tv's which he has tuned in to show every game/event all day & night. The restaurants are second to none and the food is excellent, the sea bass served in a roof tile is most defintely something everyone visiting should try. If you have never been to this resort before you don't know what you're missing!

The resort has plenty of entertainment with a wide range of bars and restaurants to suit everyone. The old town proves the more lively part of the resort with a livelier range of bars of all types . On the Strip the best place to go for food is Garfolandia where you get good food for a reasonable price. The best bars are Erins Isle which has a family friendly atmosphere with great evenig entertainment every night , also Absolbar which has karaoke every night . The beaches are fantastic and very clean . The resort as a whole is fantastic .

great resort. great bars. very friendly people.good food.what more can i ask for. only one complaint those hills take it out on your legs however lets not interfere with nature .Maybe a oneday coach trip to a neighbouring town would enable to see a bit more of the Algarve

We love this place and come here a couple of times a year. We have always used Thomsons but never again.

Lots of facilities on Albufeira strip, shops, bars and resturants. Small train every twenty mins to Albufeira old town

Albufiera is a decent resort, plenty of bars for the evening. Beach is quite nice but the sea tends to be quite rough. Just like any other Med resort otherwise though, you know what to expect.

Lovely golden beaches and sandy coves - seven beaches to choose from - all very clean..In the old town the little cobbled streets are crammed with bars and shops. the tourist part is very lively with good night life and loads of bars and restaurants. Daily market with loads of interesting little dtalls.

Love it! We used the tourist train to go to the beach and the old part of Abufeira, it cost 3.50 euros for the day (use the ticket as many times as you want), well worth the money. There was plenty of restaurants and bars to eat at, try the bar next to the Albufeira supermarket (opposite Mc Donalds), excellent quality and great value for money. Plenty to do and you feel safe anytime night or day. Lovely people, lovely place.

The resort was beautiful, in the Strip there was lots of nightlife, lovely restaurants and bars. Most bars offer you the first drink / shot free and if you arrive between 8 - 11 it is happy hour so very cheap. Most bars offered buy one get one free after 11pm. The Old Town was more quiet, for familes - nicer restaurants and less noise and bars. Overall a lovely resort!

Made up of buildings painted in reds and yellows, the village-esque feel of the Tivoli Marina Portimao is one of its main pulls. The setting is another – it’s tucked in generous gardens and overlooks the moored yachts in the marina. But it’s the reception and pool that transforms this place from village to hotel, and places it firmly in the four star hotel league. Step into the reception and you’ll find a whitewashed space decked out with stylish, high-backed chairs and sink-into-me sofas. The pool scene, meanwhile, is home to a pair of pools – one lake-sized and both fringed with sunbeds and parasols.

This resort was very good.Lots ro do and see.The strip is for young ones who want to party the night away.The old town is for everyone.Lots of restaraunts and bars. The beach is beautiful.Weather was great. We found this resort clean and safe.
