Brisa Sol Aparthotel Reviews

I have just come back from a week's holiday at Brisa Sol and I can't say enough good things about it. Its perfectly placed for visiting the strip as its called with its Bars and Restaurants and also the Old Town with it lovely streets and relaxing square surrounded by bars and restaurants. If you don't like local food there is also McDonald's and KFC across the road from the hotel and also a Pizza Hut in the same building as the supermarket next door! As for the hotel it was clean and tidy in all the public areas and the rooms are big enough for families and also clean and tidy. The pool areas were lovely and cleaned everyday. One thing I would say is get up before 9 to secure yourself a sun bed round the pool during the busier summer months. All in all a fantastic holiday and hotel would think about going back soon!

just returned from holidays in the brisa sol, we went last year 2007 at the same time. the weather this time was very disapointing cloudy on most days last year it was very hot.would leave it until june next time. the hotel areas are very clean and well kept, the rooms are kept to a fair standard. you are best paying the extra for a pool view otherwise you get a room overlooking the car park which is very noisy with deliverys coming and going we went self catering which was good, there is a supermarket next door to the hotel which sells everythink .there is a train that stops outside that goes to the new town and the old town you can go all day for 3 euros as many times as you want.this year there was alot of building work going on but did not spoil the holiday too much . do not take high heels as pavement are little pebbles very hard to walk on .we had abetter time last year because the weather was better, but it is a good choice of hotel, there are some nice places to eat out try the barracuda in the old town a nice sunday lunch or coconuts in the new town if you like to eat english meals so enjoy

Stayed in the Brisa Hol at the end of May. Weather not good - mostly cloudy, with some sunny spells and some rain. Brisa Sol itself was a 'good' hotel. Not sure if it's a true 4* but not far off the mark.

The best points. Really good location - inbetween the old town and the strip. Indoor pool is lovely - clean and very warm - much needed with disappointing weather!! You can eat your own food and have drinks from your apartment around the pool - you dont have to use the snack bar (although this is quite good and fairly reasonable). Hotel is clean and maids come daily -changing towels as and when needed and bedding was changed twice within the week. Happy hour in the bar gives 30% off drinks prices, the cocktails are very nice!! Check in was speedy and rooms were ready on arrival.

The worst points. Paying for any additional extras - tennis costs 13 euros per hour. Mini golf 3 euros per person. Internet pay for how much you use. Sauna and Jacuzzi 3 euros per person per day..... and all these little extras add up to a lot by the end of a weeks holiday!!

Definately pay the extra for a room with a pool view - they are well worth it.

just back after 1 week,loved every minute.this is our fifth stay and are going back in sept for 2 weeks.we find the staff very helpful.its spotlessly clean,10 min walk to the beach.we have done half board,bed breakfast,self catering at brisa sol all very good.give it a try.

We arrived in Portugal and it was lovely sunshine - such a difference from the rain of the UK.

The Brisa Sol was a nice hotel with friendly people and a welcoming atmosphere. The studio apartment that we had was nice, overlooking the pool and with a sea view - but we had to pay extra for this! The other apartments look over a busy road or a car park, so it was worth the extra money. We managed to get a lounger at any time throughout the day and found the pool bar food nice and staff extremely friendly.

Albufeira as a resort was not as nice as I had hoped - it was very clean. The old town and new town are a little distance away (hotel in middle) and the Noddy Road Train was always full with long queues - so we normally walked between the places. We were self catering and I was v. dissapointed with the food in all but 2 of the restaurants we visited during our week - the service was not all that great in most places too!

The Old Town has a lovely square with street entertainment, but again due to the time of year, all of the restaurants were packed full of people all of the time. The New Town is about a mile long strip of bar, after bar, after restaurant - which is good to bar hop! The beach is nice and there is a good selection of shops and things to do - Zoomarine is a must!

We went to Puerto Rico in February and I think our holiday there left a lasting impression on us, which unfortunately (despite having a nice holiday) Portugal just didnt live up to!
