"Excellent all round"

Olhos D'Agua is a small resort with a wide, sandy beach. The hotels nearest to the beaches are on a cliff top so getting to the beaches either involves a 10 minute walk or a flight of many steps but the sands make to effort worthwhile.

Olhos d'Agua is a quiet little town. It is very clean and fairly attractive. The entertainment and night life consists of three or four restaurant / bars, so if you are looking for drinking and dancing until the early hours, then it is not the place for you. There are two really nice beaches. One is accessed via the Riu Falesia Hotel (down about 125 steps) and is used predominantly by holiday makers. The other can be reached by walking a short distance down the road through the town and appeared to used mainly by the locals. You can walk down the beach from Olhos d'Agua to Villamoura. It takes about an hour and a half at a fairly leisurely pace and is well worth it. If you don't fancy the walk back you can use the very regular bus service at a cost of one euro thirty. All in all we were glad we went but probably wouldn't return.

OverallExcellent Hotel

The hotel is fantastic. This is our fifth stay in a Riu hotel in four years and you can never fault them. The only drawback for some people may be the lack of daytime activities. Basically there isn't any but this didn't bother us as we just wanted to chill...
